I won't seek to fill my heart
With things that comfort but don't heal,
With melodies that lie,
With fairy tails that only blind me,
I won't seek the solace of another helpless soul
Or the warmth of familiar comforts
I won't find missing puzzles hidden beneath the crushed castles I build,
Or try to rebuild what's no longer standing
No longer functional
No longer wanted.
I won't seek to build what's broken.
Sometimes things are meant to be broken
And not remade the same
But rather, transformed into something else.
I won't seek things to mend my heart
I won't seek love songs to mend me
Or another soul to mend me.
I won't seek things or people
I'll seek the only One who can fix me
The Merciful. - 60 minutes ago
