am i addicted to smoothie bowls?
but how could you not when they taste this amazing? honestly though, we all know that i’m really here for the toppings 😬
today i wanted to talk about getting more 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬 and fiber! greens are super important for your health, digestion, and just... quality of life! a lot of people right now are fans of the “carnivore” movement, but in my opinion that is 𝐧𝐨𝐭 healthy. greens taste amazing and have so many beneficial micro nutrients.
1. greens like lettuce actually don’t have much fiber. this makes them good if you need to follow a low fiber diet but also means that they don’t have many of the benefits greens have. cruciferous veggies are where it’s AT. things like kale, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and all those hearty greens are the best to keep you full and keep moving.
2. if you think you don’t like veggies- i have to say your wrong! you CAN like veggies. one way is by incorporating things like frozen cauliflower, zucchini, and spinach in your smoothies. you can even sneak cauliflower into waffles (just posted this recipe on my feed!) also, make sure to always cook your veg in some high quality oil, and add salt and seasoning!! fat isn’t bad and oil isn’t bad in moderation. you can also dress up veg with a good sauce.
