Nothing feels better than finally be back to my daily workouts and healthy eating 🤗  FOOD DIARY from today 🥑🌮🥗😍 I love cooking and creating new meals but I have also a list of standard foods and dishes, I keep on repeating because: 👉🏼 1) they taste amazing and 👉🏼 2) I know the calories amount in each of them and I can easily estimate if they fit my meal plan on a particular day or not 🤗 If you only start with your healthy eating, I would suggest sticking to easy meals that you can prepare quickly. All of my meals from today were cooked within 10-15 minutes, so you don’t have to waste your weekend standing in the kitchen 👍🏼😁 On Saturday or Sunday, I usually have my treat meal and today I had again my favorite sushi - salmon cream cheese avocado rolls and those are so delicious that I can’t wait to have more 🍣🤤 My full day of eating: 
1. 🍎 Breakfast 1 - fried eggs with cheese on top (parmesan and cheddar), half of avocado, cucumber, tomato and strawberries. #hfa
2. 🍎 Breakfast 2 - protein oatmeal bowl with chia seeds, topped with strawberries, banana, raspberries and peanut butter. 
3. 🍎 Snack 1 - one banana muffin with some pineapple, watermelon and cantaloupe. 
4. 🍎 Lunch - my all time favorite sushi - salmon cream cheese avocado rolls. 
5. 🍎 Snack 2 - high protein cottage cheese with a few strawberries and cashews. 
6. 🍎 Dinner - giant whole wheat tortilla with white cheese, spinach, avocado, grilled turkey breast, cherry tomatoes and cheddar cheese. 
Total of 2'005 calories .

I’m pro flexible dieting & always have been on this page. From my experience it’s the best approach for dietary sustainability. You SHOULD be able to incorporate foods you enjoy regularly.

However, there’s a fine line between flexible and just ridiculous. I see a lot of people going a little overboard when jumping on the ‘iifym’ bandwagon. Throwing up a bunch of fast foods makes for an appealing photo for the gram I guess.
-
But keep in mind, like I tell my clients, hydration, fiber, micronutrients, omega 3’s & protein intake should be the things you look at FIRST and foremost before you even think about incorporating other stuff or ‘fun foods’

If you prioritize these things first, you’ll definitely feel better & perform better. Plus your gut and digestive health will be in a much happier place, which I’ve learnt first hand is extremely important.

And I know for damn sure that if a client texted me and asked which of these two meal options they should eat, I certainly wouldn’t be choosing the Big Mac. It may be slightly lower in calories sure, but at what cost? You’re literally getting zero benefit out of eating it.

This looks yummy...I get tired of chicken easily and am always looking for ways to change it up...
⚪️
1 shallot, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated on a microplane
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (plus more for topping)
1/3 cup lime juice (about 2 limes)
4 chicken breasts
2 tbsp avocado oil (or coconut oil)
1/4 cup chicken broth
1.5 cups full fat coconut milk
Salt and pepper
Lime slices for topping (optional)
⚪️
Prep shallot, garlic, ginger and cilantro as noted. Juice limes and set aside.
Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of parchment paper and pound them down to make them even in thickness. Sprinkle each side of the chicken with salt and pepper.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add avocado oil.
Once hot, add the chicken to the pan (you may have to cook the chicken in 2 batches depending on the size of your pan). Cook, without disturbing for 3-4 minutes, until a nice brown crust has formed. Flip and cook another 3-4 minutes on the other side, until the chicken is mostly cooked through.
Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside. Lower the heat to medium.
Add more oil if needed and add the garlic and shallot to the pan. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes.
Add chicken stock, coconut milk, lime juice, ginger and cilantro to the pan. Stir to mix, scraping up any browned bits remaining in the pan from when you cooked your chicken.
Add the chicken breasts back to the skillet with the sauce. Cover and turn heat down to low. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
Serve with vegetables, potatoes, rice or cauli rice. Spoon some sauce over everything for serving. Sprinkle with cilantro and garnish with lime slices (optional).

Working on staying #hydrated over here.

I've actually noticed that my skin is far less dry than it usually is during the winter months. I attribute this to @Whole30 100%. I haven't done the greatest job drinking water, BUT I'm still hydrating from the inside out by eating tons of fresh vegetables and fruits. I'm also consuming a lot of healthy fats and oils in the form of ghee, coconut oil, avocados, avocado oil, nuts, and so on.

It’s been about 7 years since i was diagnosed with frequent PVCs (premature ventricular contractions). My symptoms started in college but of course every doctor i saw chalked it up to stress and anxiety

Pvcs are abnormal heartbeats that disrupt your regular heart rhythm. Every person has at least a few a day. Since i was diagnosed, my yearly monitor has shown an average of 20,000 a day-and yes, i can feel them. My body feels like it’s been running a marathon all day everyday
•
So last year i decided to get a procedure where my doctor had to burn tissue in my heart. It worked a little, but not completely. And after joining a support group and hearing that some people have noticed improvements by making lifestyle changes, i was sold
•
So when people ask me why i eat the way i do, i’m excited to tell them that it has really made a difference. Less PVCs, weight loss, improved sleep. Food is a medicine that works

Pictured is my doctor explaining to me why my guesstimated 3 hour surgery turned into a 6 hour surgery. I am thankful for him and his wonderful bedside manners.

Don't throw the cilantro stems out.  While I used the leaves to make a tasty cilantro pesto, I use the stems (along with aromatics) to add a huge boost of flavor in a chicken marinade.  I store leftovers (carrot ends, bell pepper tops, parsley stems, ugly vegetable pieces, ect.) in the fridge for all sorts of things like stocks, marinades and stuffings.

Já que é dia de #tbt, vou postar minha mudança pra vocês. Na primeira foto eu estava com 85kg e na segunda estava com 69. Hoje em dia estou nessa faixa de peso entre 69/70. Mas minha meta è chegar aos 58kg e aumentar a massa magra. Mas vou sem pressa, um dia chego lá #diariofit

SALSA DE FRUTOS ROJOS 😍Antes de ayer la utilicé para acompañar unas pechugas de pollo rellenas de jamón, pero pegan para carnes rojas, ensaladas, o como ayer visteis... Para hamburguesas 🤤

Y es súper fácil de hacer!!
Simplemente en un cazo pon frutillas (frescas o congeladas, no importa). Puedes usar fresas, frambuesas, arándanos, una mezcla de todos... Tú eliges.

Añade medio vaso de agua, un chorrito de jugo de limón y si quieres, un poco de vino dulce (luego el alcohol se evapora, así que no te preocupes).
.
Pon a fuego medio-bajo hasta que la frutilla este blandita y el líquido haya reducido. Agrega una pizca de sal para que potencie el sabor. Puedes agregar un pelín de edulcorante/miel/stevia/azúcar de coco si no usas fresas, ya que los arándanos son algo ácidos. .
Tritura todo y sirve. Ten en cuenta que cuando enfríe espesa un poquito.

hoo-eee did i have to PUSH and give myself alllll the pep talks 😅 it was HARD. but i has to remind myself that yesterday there wasn’t any music, @shaunt was yelling at me to go faster and harder... i pushed ME.
so i dug deeper. i told myself i’m powerful. i reminder myself how PROUD i’d be at the end if i didn’t pause or quit or give up.
plus, as my trainer told me today, “if your workout isn’t hard or it’s not pushing you, what’s the point?” you won’t get stronger that way. you have to do something hard to get the results.

I have to say that I had a few doubts about this pizza but it's been a while since I ate pizza so I thought that I should give this a try :)
It's better than I thought it will be! The dough is made of 5% cheese (usually people use cream cheese but I used 5% and it's very good), mozzarella cheese, egg, ALMOND FLOUR and salt. You can't taste the almond in it, it tastes like a regular pizza with lots of flavor because of the mozzarella cheese! 💯
I made a homemade tomato sauce with Italian spices and I used 9% yellow cheese, 5% Feta cheese and a little Parmigiano Reggiano :) On top: portobello mushrooms & onions.
I never thought it will taste this good. Hope you guys enjoy your weekend! 😊❤️
