It’s been 3 weeks since I quit my job and I feel incredibly grateful for how amazing the start of this next chapter has been. A few days away in Melbourne, followed by a SUP yoga retreat in the Cook Islands, a week playing tourist in Sydney... but most importantly, some serious down time.
The SUP yoga retreat in Rarotonga was a catalyst. A week of sunrises, reflections, journaling and paddling led me to find my calm and slow down my pace. It also helped me address my discomfort with things I can’t control, and challenged me to trust that everything will work out ok. Thanks to this experience I’ve returned to Sydney without the guilt that was hanging over me for not having a plan for ‘what’s next’, and thoughts of gratitude frequent my mind several times a day leading to living more in the present. 🏝🧘♀️
