Tracking your food every meal, snack, treat, venue, bite, chew, swallow, drink, consume, breakfast, lunch, dinner, drunk food, movie food, mindless snacking, date night, fast food, fat food, Fit food, smart food (popcorn😏), smoothie, fit teas, dressings, spices, butters, and so much more we must know we are consuming.
If we consume more energy (calories ) than we burn throughout the day over time the body will have an abundance it wants to save for later in case of emergency, hence it will store that energy into a storage unit to grab for later(body fat). Unless you have a serious hormonal issue or medical problem that needs to be addressed, you are simple eating too much, and maybe you are not exercising enough or moving enough through the week. It is much easier to eat less calories than it is to eat more calories and try to burn it all off with training 6-7 days a week burning yourself out.
Tracking everyday on your @myfitnesspal app even if you eat in a surplus will teach you about your eating habits, and bring awareness into your life you would not have before. You can still eat the same foods, just maybe smaller portion sizes. Or find foods you like to munch on but are low in calories. Maybe even eat a bit higher in protein so your body burns more calories digesting and absorbing that macronutrient.
Stop over complicating your fat loss journey. Stay in a weekly deficit, eat your veggies daily, hit a protein goal around your bodyweight 1gram-1lbs, drink your water, and exercise 3-4 times a week training all muscle groups twice a week. That’s all folks!👏🏻💪🏼
