Day 21: 263.90-278.29 (14.39 mi) 459.81-483.76 (23.95 km)
What an awesome day. Despite waking up to rain, which continued for 1.5 hrs, despite walking into a headwind, despite the aches and pains, despite my pool noodles/hip padding constantly shifting, and despite walking on the highway, it was great. I talked to a number of people around and they were so nice, just like everyone has been on this trip. I usually wave and nod at vehicles that clearly give me a lot of room. I continued to do that today and then realized some of them were moving into the other lane to pass the car in front lol. So I guess lesson learned again. It’s not all about me lol. Dammit. I was going to try and get away with saying the kite flyer was me, but I didn’t think anyone would believe me. I was also told that there was a cougar sighting about 20 or so feet from my tent, yesterday. I relaxed as I quickly realized there were small dogs and children around. Only kidding. It never appeared again. Sorry for the haphazard log. My brain is just on it’s own going where it wants to lol. Well, it’s suppose to rain for the next 2 days with headwinds. Yuk. C’est la vie. I will come out the other side.
