but really there are many benefits to this fermented tea, bucha is loaded with properties that can boost your immune system & prevent the development of illnesses. while also being super rich in antioxidants. So happy to have spent a few days with my brother. Video games, movies, and tons of eating out. Thats how we like to spend time together and we enjoy it but I am definitely feeling it today. So much food!!!! I am so bloated yuck. Getting back to my nutrition today with lots of veggies and lots of water. Had such a good time and enjoyed myself but thats just not a way to sustain myself. I dont like how it makes my body feel. Eat foods that make you feel good guys. Listen to your body. Fuel it with nutritious foods that make you feel satisfied but no yucky. Your body will respond accordingly....and my body is definitely responding🤢😩
Monday is a great day to reset and restart. Lets do this👊

- Water: hydration is essential

Ever since I can remember I exercised. I grew up playing sports so even when I was overweight, I was overweight & toned.

Over the past 6 months I haven’t been feeling well. I knew something was off, but I kept making excuses for it. .
.
I was tired all of the time and couldn’t understand why. It was months of, “Oh, I must be getting sick so I’ll take it easy.” to “I guess I’m just going through a phase where I’m not motivated.” to “Wow, maybe I’m working harder than I think.”
.
.
This resulted in months of me struggling to get myself to workout to finally succumbing to taking time off.
.
.
As a result my body composition has significantly changed. I’m not toned and fit like I used to be and mentally I’ve been letting it get to me.
.
.
After 3 doctors visits I finally have a root cause to the fatigue...mono.
.
.
Getting a diagnosis was honestly the biggest relief. I now know this is temporary and the virus is on it’s way out. .
.
Which means I’ll soon be able to return to my exercise routine and get my toned body back. .
.
However, until then, I know if I don’t practice loving my body with the same appreciation and enthusiasm now as I did before, something like this will happen again. .
.
I needed to be reminded to take the same advice I give to my clients. I must talk positively about my body at every stage of the journey.

It hasn’t been easy, but I know it’ll help me in the end. .

When the negative thoughts come, I let them go and remind myself I’m doing the best I can...I’m learning to love my body again 💛.

NUTRITION COMPLIANCE %⁣

What’s yours? 🤔⁣
⁣
Too many people start a plan and disregard the importance of how compliant they truly are with their nutrition.⁣
⁣
I’m not talking 100% perfection.⁣
⁣
I’m talking aiming for the best possible level of adherence that you can be consistent with.⁣
⁣
The number 1️⃣ mistake you yourself might be doing is thinking that starting a plan is enough. ⁣
⁣
You need to be effectively adhering to it to make it count.⁣
⁣
So what level of compliance is needed?⁣
⁣
👉 Minimum 80% ⁣
⁣
💁🏻‍♂️ But 90% is ideal. ⁣
⁣
That means that you should be following your nutrition plan and doing it efficiently at least 80-90% of the time.⁣
⁣
Why is this important?⁣
⁣
Because for you to be able to accurately assess whether the plan is working and/or needs to be adjusted…⁣
⁣
✨You need to be maintaining a level of compliance that allows for true progression to be determined.✨⁣
⁣
Without this you may be adjusting your plan incorrectly because you're not using "true" data to guide your assessment.⁣
⁣
For example, If you are following your plan at only 60% adherence but not seeing results then you have 2 possible scenarios:⁣
⁣
▶️ The plan needs to be further calibrated⁣
▶️ The plan would work (but compliance is sufficient to see a result)⁣
⁣
And this can lead to:⁣
🚫 Having to delay calibration because you won’t know when to adjust.⁣
⁣
OR⁣
⁣
🚫 Making a hasty change to your plan that might not have been needed.
⁣
Basically you will be wingin it which is not how you should play the nutrition game!⁣
⁣
When you are starting out your compliance may not be where it needs to be so you need to be patient if results are slower than expected.⁣
⁣
But as you get more experienced you should be ensuring you maintain a good level of compliance if you are wanting to see the results you want. ⁣

I’ve had clients who had started to become discouraged because the weight was not moving BUT were hitting compliance levels of 40/50/60%⁣
⁣
Don’t stress yourself out by allowing yourself to fall into this trap!⁣
⁣
Keep improving your compliance. Calibrate as needed. Obtain more control over your nutrition and then progress. ⁣

It is hugely underestimated the effect stress can have us.  How often do you eat in a relaxed state or are you working at the same time, flicking through your phone, thinking what needs to be done next? These activities mean that the body is in ‘fight or flight’ ready for action and so it is not able to digest food properly. It needs to be relaxed otherwise it won’t be able to absorb nutrients from the food.  Nutrient deficiency causes our bodies to malfunction leading to fatigue, digestive issues, hormone imbalances and dis-ease.

Which is your next meal? How can you allow your body to ‘rest and digest’ so it is able to function at its best and stay healthy?

Protein omelette - 2portions
🥚🥚 My fav breakfast - easy and fast to make
530kcal (30g protein/77g carbs/11 g fat)

50gPorridge oats
2 medium apples
14g whey protein powder (I used vanilla)
2 medium eggs
water (mixture can not be too runny or too solid)
Cinnamon,cardamon, vanilla or other flavor drops

Blend all ingredients together

Heat a pan sprayed with 1kcal olive oil spray (5puffs)

Pour mixture and when omelette firms up, flip it to the other side (use a pan lid) and cook until done.

A breakfast that is guaranteed to keep you full 🥑 Ever since Ramadan was over, I have been off intermittent fasting for a while (Been following it since I noticed that it suits me best).Maybe it’s the thrill of getting to eat what I want in the morning after long hours of fasting? But recently, I cannot hold the urge to eat by 9am🙊🙄 Considering that I’ve been including morning workouts more frequently compared to before.So, I have been enjoying my 500cal breakfasts. 💁🏻‍♀️

Over the years, I have learned how essential it is to understand & listen to your body! Never feel like you are forced to follow something for the sake of it, or just because you “Heard” it’s good, we all have different bodies, and respond to plans uniquely. So, If you feel like something doesn’t suit your needs, find something else that you could potentially feel more comfortable with.And if you need a break, take it. .
Conclusion; Find what you feel comfortable to follow! Even if that includes having a 100cal more sugary milk choco that you’ll enjoy rather than dark choco that is still within your caloric needs! 😋

There’s a lot of good information out there, but there’s a shit load more bullshit  marketing out there that literally doesn’t make any sense. Everything on the left side of this graph. If you’ve ever tried anything on the left, you probably ended up even more frustrated than before.

• 14oz full fat coconut milk
