I’ve been getting tons of messages for the recipe for my Baked Apple Cinnamon Oat Bars; so here it is! It was super easy and makes for an easy breakfast or snack anytime! .

Baked Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal .
.
2 cups rolled oats 
2/3 cups almond flour 
4 scoops collagen (I love vital proteins!) 1/2 cup coconut sugar 
1 tsp baking powder 
1.5 tsp cinnamon 
1 cup almond milk, unsweetened 
1 tsp vanilla 
2 eggs 
1/2 cup of chopped apple of choice .
.
Mix all the ingredients together and bake on 350 for about 28-30 minutes! Cut into 12 bars and enjoy!

This is a very interesting question.

Junk food doesn't have half alive bacteria as vaccines do, but it has food for bacteria, food for the bad microbes! And non-organically grown food has harmful toxins which our bodies are not evolved to digest. 
So when we consume these non-organic or chemically laden or processed junk food items:

1.	Our liver tries it's best to get rid of these substances, foreign substances which we are not evolved to eat. But, over the time it gets overloaded with the toxins, becomes sluggish and starts affecting the functioning of other organs too.
2.	The army of bad bacteria become strong taking down the immunity of our body.

If you believe, that to build our body's immunity against all the bad food substances, we need to eat all of them in small quantities...then we have to eat 20000 poisonous/toxic food-like substances that we are exposed to, nowadays.

Instead, we can just focus on eating food closest to its natural form and which we are evolved to eat like fruits, veggies, grains, nuts and seeds in minimally processed form.

And so in turn immunity is built by increasing the army of good microbes and also by keeping our liver and kidney in prime condition, not congested; so whenever we are exposed to unnatural or junk food it can be easily eliminated by these filtering systems of the body.

No wonder the older generation who were not exposed to the junk food, were fortunate to have only organic food produced till their 50s. And so, can still handle toxic overload by eating out once in a while.

Whereas the young generation which is exposed to these dead food from as early as 2-3 years of age, can't digest such exceptions and their body reacts to it.

Good morning! 🌞☀️ It is a gorgeous day today and I am about to take my workout outside because of it 🔥💪🏼 But before I do I am going to make sure I am fueling my body with the nourishment it needs to make it through today’s sweat session. 
Makes two omelettes 
Ingredients:
6 eggs
2 cups of baby arugula and baby spinach mix
1 leaf of red cabbage chopped
2 cloves of garlic diced
3 tbs of Scallions chopped 
8 baby tomatoes quartered
1/8 cup Parsley 
1/2 tsp Salt 
1/2 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Balsamic vinegar
2 tsp Grape seed oil
Optional feta cheese 
Directions:
Sauté baby arugula, baby spinach, chopped scallions, parsley, tomatoes and red cabbage with diced garlic.

Add salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar. 
Cook until spinach and arugula begins to wilt. Set mixture to side.

You can make this as scrambled eggs or you can turn it into an omelette. I was feeling an omelette this morning. 
Whisk together 3 eggs. In a separate pan coated with oil of choice pour eggs into pan over medium heat. 
As this begins to cook over medium heat add spinach arugula mixture to the eggs.

Using a spatula circle the sides of the pan as the eggs are cooking.

Fold omelette in half and flip over to cook on the other side. ** if you decide to make scrambled eggs place all eggs in the pan and continue to break apart eggs as they cook over medium heat. Add spinach and arugula mixture to the eggs while cooking. 
Enjoy!

Lets be vulnerable Sunday..
If only I could lose this extra 10 lbs... If only I could look "leaner" , If only I could look like "this girl on insta"... Then, I would feel good ... I will feel  more beautiful, worthy, etc..... WRONG!!! All throughout prep and post show, Ive had a lot of  comments about my weight or how I look... " oh you look so lean, keep it up".. You look "malnourished"(Closer to the show) or "You gained some weight back" ( post show). The truth is ladies, Our weight will always fluctuate... Mantaining a "fitness instagram model look" all the time, is really mentally and physically draining. Dont get me wrong I love the prep and I love the hardwork.. but the moral of the story here is.... Losing/gaining weight WILL NOT make you feel better, if you do not address the issue WITHIN. You need to be happy where you are RIGHT now!! Learn to WORK with your body. Harness the flow, keep it real, set some realistic goals.. If you fuck up, try again. Dont get angry, just try again. Have fun, eat the cake..Crush your goals. Keep the BALANCE!! After all, how you live your life is up to you...Make it a great one!

I’ve come up with an avocado strategy I can only do because I have the means to buy food without worrying about my budget. (I track everything I spend on @youneedabudget but I essentially have freedom to buy what I like. This is a great privilege, I know.) my strategy is to always have two avocados at home and buy some every time I go to the grocery store, which is 2-3 times a week, if I don’t already have 2. This means I almost always have a ripe 🥑 waiting for me. It’s nice! .

I picked up some ricotta to make ricotta toast or a kind of smørrebrød (danish open faced sandwiches) inspired by @thenourishedfork. I love all the eye candy instagram provides!

#mentalhealthrecovery update: I had a good sleep and can feel my brain start to fire on all cylinders again, so that is great. I don’t know if I’ll get to meal prep today, yesterday kinda wore me out though overall it was a good day. My partner and I also had a serious 15 minute discussion about the “right” way to sort and dispose of our recycling, so there’s that! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️It’s hard for both of us to not be able to be 💯”right” all the time, but we made a #compromise.  Do you ever have these conversations with your partner about minor things for ages?

Today we made “Pronuts” (that’s protein donuts for all you common folk out there) that we paired with Protein Birthday Cake frosting! It was delicious and only ✨95✨ calories each! It packed a great macro punch at 12 carbs, 1 fat, 12 protein, 2 fiber, and 2 sugar 🤤 The kiddo approved! Check out Masonfit.com for his sweet tooth recipes...he’s a genius!

★DON'T BE AFRAID TO BE SORE★ Yes, diet is important, yes it's #1 to get rid of fat but working out helps tremendously.  It's not only calorie burner but builds stamina & muscles.  It's not only about looking great but more importantly about FEELING great! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I can build strength/muscle really quickly & easily but stamina & flexibility are hard for me.  It's fine; that's how I'm built BUT it does not mean that I won't TRY!  Doing LISS & HIIT cardio and stretching is helping a lot, I won't be a marathon runner  or do any splits any time soon, but I'm feeling great!  It's about challenging yourself & having fun.  Also, knowing one's weaknesses and improving upon it is half the game.
