My meal times may be unconventional but I promise I’m not only just eating my lunch now - it’s been one of those days!!

I found these skip-it toys at the dollar store and felt super nostalgic and picked up a few of them for fun.  They’ve ended up being a huge hit with my kids...and of course we had to have a friendly competition 😉. Not only did I get a good cardio workout...I was able to show my kids just how awesome their mom really is 😂😂💪🏆🏅#skipitchampion #winnerwinner

Day off .. you food prep! If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness! 
Understand that this is not a DIET! God I hate that word! This is a lifestyle change! You can still eat , just portion control and macro counting . Eating every 3 hours to stimulate that metabolism! 
Eating like shit, not taking part in some type of physical activity, drinking water, add stress and life to the mix and you are a walking time bomb. Take time to breathe ! FOOD IS FUEL, right??? Well, while my fitness game has been on point and I feel like I'm doing everything "right," my food is fuel game hasn't been up to par. Sure, I've lost 20lbs in the last year, so it's not like my eating is horrible. But...I know I haven't been fueling my body the way it needs to. 🍽

Why? Well, as a mom of 3 kiddos ages 5 and under, I'm like most moms...I put my needs last. I find myself scrambling to eat when I have a chance or just munch on random things throughout the day. I'm not intentional about what I eat. It's funny, I meal prep for my kids and hubby, but don't do that for myself. It's the mother in me wanting to take care of everyone else and not so concerned about myself.

Had a cold for about a week but been pushing through. Today is all about self care.

This is the first time I've had a cold since getting M.E where it hasn't knocked me bedbound. Yesterday I forgot to eat before having a shower and thought that was the end of me, but I slept for about 2 hours and then was ready to go again. I cannot stress enough how much this keto paleo diet has improved my health.

Not pretty at all, but functional first breakfast. I’m starting a strength training plan this morning, so I’m fueling beforehand. I’ll have a larger breakfast afterwards, but I don’t want to have an energy slump during, so I made sure I ate before.

My bum!!! Where did my bum go? I’ve always been bottom heavy ~ first to gain there ~ last to lose. But this side shot surprised me. Flat. Total victory but looks like I’m going to have to suck it up and make my way to some weights. Girls gotta have some curves.  First time in these Old Navy compression capris. I held them up and thought how am I gong to get this ass in those leggings. But I did and they are super comfortable! I’m holding steady at 87-89 pounds down. BMI is 19.5 woot woot. I never thought this was possible. My thought was to do the ‘Keto Diet’ with hopes to get into wonderland. Didn’t have a goal as I just wanted to see how long I would last until the expected and historical failure would return as is my way with all ‘diets’. My bum!!! Where did my bum go? I’ve always been bottom heavy ~ first to gain there ~ last to lose. But this side shot surprised me. Flat. Total victory but looks like I’m going to have to suck it up and make my way to some weights. Girls gotta have some curves. First time in these Old Navy compression capris. I held them up and thought how am I gong to get this ass in those leggings. But I did and they are super comfortable! I’m holding steady at 87-89 pounds down. BMI is 19.5 woot woot. I never thought this was possible. My thought was to do the ‘Keto Diet’ with hopes to get into wonderland. Didn’t have a goal as I just wanted to see how long I would last until the expected and historical failure would return as is my way with all ‘diets’. I made @drizzlemeskinny funfetti blueberry pancakes and they were so yum! 1/2 cup kodiak pancake mix with water, frozen blueberries, and a few sprinkles. I added 1 tsp of 100% pure maple syrup and I cooked them in a tiny bit of butter so the whole plate is 7 points, but I could only eat 2 pancakes so I am counting as 5 points!

Нам понадобятся:
•бездрожжевой лаваш
•2 яйца
•сыр
•помидорки
•зелень

Расправить лаваш по сковороде без масла, поставить средний огонь.
Вбить 2 яйца. Посолить, поперчить.
Добавить сыр,помидорки, томатную пасту,зелень.
Завернуть лаваш, уменьшить немного огонь, накрыть крышкой на 1-2 мин.
После перевернуть, и подождать ещё 2-3 мин.

Last night for dinner we had the laziest of meals, @lidlde vegan pizzas! Of all the frozen vegan pizzas out there, including the expensive ones, I think these are my fave probably because they’re loaded with garlicky spinach. They’re also super cheap, €2,50 or something like that for a pack of two of them. Today marks 11 months since I started my weight loss journey! 🎉 More than the results, what I'm celebrating is that I've managed to stick with it for so long!  Prior to this, the longest I ever lasted was just 2 weeks. 😄  The turning point for me was realizing that you can mess up and just keep going!  Don't wait until the next week or month if you fail, get right back on track the very next day.  I've developed healthy lifestyle habits that I will happily choose to continue even once I finish losing weight, and that's been one of the most surprising things about this crazy journey. Teriyaki Chicken
Makes 4 servings
Per serving
1 Leaner protein
3/4 fat serving
3 condiments
1 ½ vegetable servings
40 ounces chicken breast with bone, skinned
8 teaspoons reduced sodium soy sauce
¼ cup sherry vinegar
¼ cup water
1 Tbs toasted sesame oil
1 Tbs grated ginger
1 Tbs rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic
6 cups bok choy
2 tsp sesame seeds
Place chicken in a 4 quart slow cooker. Stir all other ingredients together except for bok choy and sesame seeds. Pour mixture over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
Remove chicken from pot and put on serving dish. Place bok choy in the pot with the juice and cover for 5 min. Pour bock choy and sauce over chicken. Top with sesame seeds.

My story: I’m Amara I’m 24 years old and in November 2018 I realized that if I kept doing what I’d always done I’d have the same problems I’ve always had. I’m at a higher risk of some health concerns because of family history and being 207lbs at a height of only 4ft 8 only increased those odds. I didn’t want to add risk to my life before I had the opportunity to truly even live it. I heard about the program through family who had seen others on program post on social media . It was then I knew it was now or never .  I haven’t looked back since and I’m down 75lbs and pushing my way toward my health & life goals .

Freeze dried chocolate covered strawberries are one of my favourite after dinner sweet treats. I’ve shown them once before on my insta stories as one of my fav ‘chocolates’.

The issue I have with these freeze dried strawberries is that I can sometimes (more often than not😂🤣) eat them pretty mindlessly and before I know it, I’ve had the equivalent (if not more) calories of my dinner after dinner in a couple bites!

I’m all for intuitive eating, but sometimes I’m just not satisfied with a small treat.. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m more of a volume eater, so it is something I promote for people (like me 💁🏻‍♀️) who have a larger appetite but aren’t as active as they probably should or could be! ⠀

Recently I’ve found myself eating more but moving less since the weather is cooling up and the days are getting shorter! My sedentary job doesn’t help the situation either.

2 freeze dried choc strawberries aren’t cutting the mustard for me after dinner when I’m looking for something sweet ATM. I don’t even have a sweet tooth! ⠀
My solution for this - DIY version using fresh strawberries and melted chocolate. Why? Unlike the freeze dried option, fresh strawberries are a far more filling option!

Just like dried fruit, fruit that has been freeze dried has had all their water removed, which is why the fresh option is far more filling, 3-4 chocolate covered fresh strawberries are usually all I need! This DIY option is also far cheaper!

I usually have both options at hand but pick the one that suits my needs best at that point in time! Sometimes I even mix the two options together, there are no rules. ⠀
I do not encourage inappropriate food restriction but I do encourage people to become aware of their regular food choices and behaviours.

Recipe: melt chocolate and dip strawberries into chocolate, place on baking paper and refrigerate (250g strawberries + 70g chocolate of choice, I used Cadbury dark chocolate melts for the nutrition info).

#motivationmonday Loving myself is something I struggled with for pretty much my entire life. Sometimes I still do but I’ve gotten better at it. I’ve learned to be a little selfish. I’ve rid my life of toxic relationships. I’ve eliminated behaviors that do not serve me. That’s self love. I’m happier. I feel lighter. I’m less anxious and depressed. My motivation for this week and today is to use the support from your loved ones and friends from here to keep going and not look at the time frame of ‘if i didn’t eat that i would’ve lost this much by now’ and comparing yourselves to others does NOTHING for your mental health. This tshirt was my fave and was too tight and too short back in the day and getting it out for the gym and for remembrance of grumpy cat reminded me that i’m so close to that finish line now no matter how long it’s been 🌈 #mondaymotivation i never thought i’d be a gym person on a weekend but here i was saturday after weigh in off to do some cardio like my goodness!

Not my brightest idea to do a double workout on Sunday, but it’s DONE! 💪🏼 So. Much. Sweat. 💦

Thankful for workouts I enjoy AND done right downstairs in the basement! However, after leg day, those steps can be brutal! 😅😅 Now to rinse off before church so my “pew mates” don’t hate me! 😂
