Projected seeding: Patriots, Chiefs, Ravens, Texans, Steelers, Bengals
I really don’t like putting the Patriots but easy schedule + Belichick = wins. The Chiefs are the 2nd seed and they’re unstoppable on offense, although their defense is another story. The hardest part of their schedule is over. At the 3rd seed, the Ravens are one of the most complete teams in the NFL, with the 7th ranked offense and and the best defense. The rest of their season will be a test because they’ve got a tough schedule. Honestly, none of the AFC South teams are looking too great right now. I don’t like putting the Texans at the 4th seed because I’m now admitting one of my bold predictions is wrong. The Texans have an above average defense, not as good as the Jaguars but they have the best offense in the AFC South. They have the second easiest strength of schedule in the division, behind the Jaguars. However, they’ve won three straight games while the Jaguars have lost their past 3 of 4. At the 5th seed, the Steelers are getting back to their expected form this season. They have a top 5 offense without LeVeon Bell. They’re defense isn’t as great, falling at 22nd. But they’ve got a really tough schedule so we’ll see how they perform vs the NFL’s best. And I have the Bengals making the playoffs. They’re 4-2, but everyone’s acting like they’re 3-3 or 2-3. I know that loss to the Steelers was terrible, but it’s not the end of the world. In fact, teams need to lose so they can improve. They have the 20th ranked offense. That doesn’t sound right ESPN? And the defense is really bad, 30th in the NFL. On the bright side, there’s potential, although it doesn’t help that so many people are injured. The good thing is, the Bengals have a pretty easy second half schedule compared to the rest of the AFC North. I think three AFC North team will make the playoffs because the Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers are really good teams. Do y’all agree with these?
Just missed: Jags, Chargers, Dolphins?
