Tips for lunch and dinner.....
1.Always have prepared chicken breast or thigh pre cooked in the fridge.
2.Always have roast veggies prepared in the fridge like carrot’s or pumpkin.
They just bulk up a salad and and it more filling and nutritious. 
3.Make a shopping list before you get to the supermarket and get organised and disciplined.lf you want change then push yourself to make it.

I was pushed to my limits today. Shifting into this third week is hard, especially after coming off a not so great week last week.

I’ve had a pounding headache all day, but if you didn’t know a workout almost always cures a headache.

I always try to not miss a Monday. Especially the Monday’s where you just don’t feel like showing up.

When you have all the excuses not to, those are the days you need to show up for yourself.

Man it’s amazing how icky it feels being out of my fitness routine the last few days. I keep reminding myself it’s only temporary... I want to make sure to take it easy until I get to see the doctor and get this vertigo under control. I never thought I would be that person who would miss anything fitness related... but particularly the absence of yoga really has me down. Thankful #monday is winding down! ✌🏻

DAY 3 of the SELF LOVE CHALLENGE.

I am feeling unwell and will spend most of my day in bed today. I owe it to myself to rest and "do nothing" sometimes, being able to recharge and regain my energy is ever so important. 
I decided I'll do some mirror work and say some positive affirmations today, as well as do some journaling. Later on I'll also do some conscious breathing, yoga and meditation. 
Can still get the SELF LOVE on whilst feeling like shit, it's these little things that will help raise my mood and get me going again.

DAY 3 of the SELF LOVE CHALLENGE.

I am feeling unwell and will spend most of my day in bed today. I owe it to myself to rest and "do nothing" sometimes, being able to recharge and regain my energy is ever so important. 
I decided I'll do some mirror work and say some positive affirmations today, as well as do some journaling. Later on I'll also do some conscious breathing, yoga and meditation. I know I will feel better if I include movement and meditation in my day, I know I don't really feel like it right now but sometimes that's what self love is about - doing things you may not feel like doing, but know are good for your well-being. 
I can still get the SELF LOVE on whilst feeling like shit, it's these activities that will help raise my mood and get me going again.

Day 1 of #ExploreSelfLove 💕💕💕 Starting with Goddess pose 🌙 I did this wonderful goddess flow outside in the snow earlier today and when I went to check my video, my phone had died because of the cold! Oops! So I redid the pose in my messy room. I love the strength I feel when you get in that sweet spot of balance and feel so powerful. Just over £40 spent in #Aldi on the way home. Two weeks worth of decent meals and 80-90 Cal snacks 👍 💪 Bought a multigym on Saturday too, that's in the garage set and ready to assist with operation #GetYourEffingAssInGearLass

Another big shout-out to @terracycle and @subaru_usa! 👍🏻 Did you know that “paper” coffee cups are lined with plastic, making them unfit for our usual community recycling bins? I had no idea, and for years, I would just dump them in there. Separating the paper from the plastic is apparently a complicated process, and only certain companies have machines that can make this happen. However, @terracycle has the proper machinery in order to recycle these disposable, single-use cups! We can now drop empty paper, plastic, and foam coffee cups (and lids) into #subarulovestheearth boxes at certain Subaru dealers. Call ahead to make sure they have these #terracycle boxes. (*Keep in mind that on the second pic, it says that they accept straws. I e-mailed @terracycle, and I was told that they actually do not). Although choosing reusable cups is healthier for our environment and our health, it’s definitely clear that these disposables still exist on the planet. I've really needed to focus on this idea this weekend. As we move into the end portion of the year, I realize that I will see more and more people posting their personal results on social media. I need to constantly remind myself to not COMPARE my progress to anyone else's progress.  Here's the thing.. When I only focus on my numbers (even if I were not to lose anymore weight this year) I'm astounded at my progress.. 54 pounds since February, you all! That's an amazing amount of progress.  AND a whole bucketful of non-scale victories as well! When I started (way back in February) my goal was to heal. To heal physically, emotionally, mentally.. it was never JUST about losing weight. And yet, the moment I see someone posting that they've lost 10 pounds every month since they started, I'm suddenly wondering why that's not me.. am I doing something wrong? Is this the right way of eating for me? Seriously, you all! Mindset is so KEY.. it's like THE key.. to EVERYTHING!! So. I'm just going to try to keep my eyes on my own paper here.. congratulate people when they share THEIR victories.. then put my focus back on my amazing progress and give it my all for this last month and a half. Can you believe we only have a month and a half left?? We almost made it through our first day with daddy back to work and me over here just mommin’ so hard as a mom of 3 boysssss!!!!! 🙌🏻 And it’s about time for a glass of wine 🍷 😉

For real though, today actually went pretty well! We are slowly easing into everything and I am so thankful for all of the help, meals, gifts, love and support from all of our family and friends! Feeling loved, thankful, and grateful to have so many amazing people In our lives! 💕

I’ve been focusing on adding positive or fun habits into the mix, and figure bad habits will fall by the wayside 🙌  Time will tell! ✨
A new habit can be as simple as 10mins of meditation, once a week.  Just a sample 😊  If you like it, make more time for it! ✨
The kids and I have been playing board games on Friday evenings - it’s a fun thing to do and pretty cheap too!  And if we like the game we end up playing it like addicts for the rest of the weekend 😂

It feels important to add a habit or routine that is fun or pleasurable - since you don’t immediately see the ‘new doors’ opening up all over the place 😂 So you kind of have to enjoy the journey as well! 💕 ✨

I have become desensitised to many 'motivational quotes' but sometimes  words in a book, poem or song come along at just the right time & resonate. These words have given me a much needed call for calm. When the going gets tough & you feel your sanity slipping we have to learn to find internal calm for our mental health. It's important not to make waves for those around us, particularly the little people.

58 days in with some relapse of course, but I used to feel like I needed to bite my nails as a comfort from my anxiety. Now I don't have that feeling. I bought some rings to wear to remind me that I'm stronger than my bad habits. I've started working out at the gym to help me with stress. I feel less self conscious of my ugly fingers. It feels like I'm dropping the weight on my shoulders. I wonder if anyone else struggles with nail biting like this. #newhabits #anxietyrelief #anxiety

Probably about 25-ish weeks of exercising 4-6 times per week.

I must honestly say that I have not followed my attempts at eating healthy all of the time. Yes, deserts and sweets, chips and fried food won at times, but I ate healthy MOST of the time.

Feeling super strong and starting to feel more and more comfortable in my own skin is just motivating me even more!

# 🔥Fat Burning: There is one study (Kondo 2009) that seems to show that apple cider vinegar melts body fat like a candle in a furnace.  In fact, the more apple cider vinegar they drank, the more fat they lost.  However, before you start chugging the stuff straight from the bottle, it’s worth noting two things:

2️⃣ This study was sponsored by the very same company that makes the brand of vinegar they used.  Yep, that’s what I thought too…

Sometimes Monday are just tough. Especially when you wake up, see it’s snowing and just wanna curl up and go back to sleep. The alarm went off at 5 am this morning and the snooze button was hit about 20 times before finally rolling out of bed at 7. 😴 It wasn’t pretty but we got up and got it done. Also thankful for this guy for putting up with my millions of pics that I know he just loves. You da best.

Better yet, am I even hearing myself?!
Having my son nearly 10 months ago (gulp!) has just made me reassess how I view the word self-care.
A good cuppa to me, from me, is self care. A time to put my feet up for a bit, is self care. A night out, is self care. Bath time longer than 10 minutes, is self care. Walking to the shop and getting fresh air (without Kiyon), is self care. Having adult conversation about adult things, is self care. Thinking and brainstorming business ideas, is self care. Shall I tell you why? Because it's my moment to take power back for MYSELF! 
You can completely LOSE yourself when you become a mom. You can feel like you've lost your identity and who you were before becoming a mommy. Which in actual fact isn't at all a bad thing because you've gained a new identity of being someone's Mommy OR Daddy! It's okay. You just have to take time to do things that help you regain your focus, your power and your identity.

Are you hearing me? Better yet, am I even hearing myself?! Having my son nearly 10 months ago (gulp!) has just made me reassess how I view the word self-care. A good cuppa to me, from me, is self care. A time to put my feet up for a bit, is self care. A night out, is self care. Bath time longer than 10 minutes, is self care. Walking to the shop and getting fresh air (without Kiyon), is self care. Having adult conversation about adult things, is self care. Thinking and brainstorming business ideas, is self care. Shall I tell you why? Because it's my moment to take power back for MYSELF! You can completely LOSE yourself when you become a mom. You can feel like you've lost your identity and who you were before becoming a mommy. Which in actual fact isn't at all a bad thing because you've gained a new identity of being someone's Mommy OR Daddy! It's okay. Flashback to March 2018.

This was the beginning of my commitment to become the healthiest I have ever been. 
_
At that time my goal was to walk 1 hour on the treadmill. I had no intention to do anything other than walk.
_
Fast forward 8 months and I am now running, yes I said RUNNING. 
_
I am completely serious when I say that I have never been a runner. I can say that I now love to run, even outside in the cold!!! Well, loving to run in the cold might be an exaggeration. LOL. But I’m doing it anyway. 
_
I don’t always want to run or feel like running, but once I get out there I am proud of myself for doing it. It is that boost of pride that propels me to do it again. 
_
Running might not be your thing and that’s okay. But find something, anything that will get you headed in the right direction. Take it one day at a time. If you set out to walk for 45 mins and you make it 30 mins CELEBRATE that you are walking at all. 
_
Celebrate anytime you are doing something healthy for your self.

Good morning!🌞 Get out there this week and don’t be afraid to try something new even if it’s out of your element and comfort zone. Many times we fear doing something because we are not "perfect" at it or worried about what others will think. I tend to hear things such as “I don’t want to take a yoga class because I’m not flexible and don't know all the poses,” or “I’m afraid to go to the gym or take a dance class because I’m self-conscious and don’t want people to look at me funny.” Trust me, I am not flexible and my poses aren’t “perfect” and I'm a yoga instructor. They are my perfectly imperfect poses though that make me feel empowered, energized, and grounded. Forget about your appearance and do what feels best for you because you deserve it! Take that yoga class and focus on embracing the moment in the pose that feels good for your body and mind. Go to that Zumba class you have always wanted to try and have the time of your life dancing around the room! Rather than worry about your “flaws” or what others may think (trust me, everyone is looking at themselves anyway), focus on the fact that you will be dedicating the time for you to do something that makes you feel great! 🤗 So think about what you have always wanted to try, get out there, and enjoy every moment of it! 😍

Muchas personas dicen “necesitar” café, bebidas energizantes, cola, consumir azúcar o chocolates para SEGUIR ACTIVOS. Es bastante común optar por alimentos con alto contenido calórico, pero bajo en nutrientes, para continuar el trabajo o la actividad que se está haciendo.

Esto da un boost energético temporal e inmediato, sin embargo, cuando hay AGOTAMIENTO lo que el cuerpo está pidiendo realmente es DESCANSO. APRENDER A ESCUCHAR EL
CUERPO ES EL PRIMER PASO PARA UNA MEJOR SALUD.
.
Así como se programan actividades, metas y eventos, es importante el compromiso que se tiene con el cuerpo para DESCANSAR.
.
 Mi sugerencia es la siguiente: cuando sientas el bajón de energía, sea a medio día, después de comer o a media tarde,
detente un momento y toma una SIESTA de 15 minutos. La siesta es importante porque es la forma real en que el cuerpo obtiene el descanso que necesita para recargarse. Para muchos será algo que deberán entrenar, ya que no todos han desarrollado la capacidad de relajarse (esto lo escribiré en un siguiente post). En caso de que la siesta no sea una opción, deja lo que estés haciendo y cierra los ojos, haz 10 respiraciones profundas (ingreso de aire por las fosas nasales lento y relajado). En el puesto de trabajo ponte de pie, mueve lentamente las articulaciones en círculos empezando por el cuello, hombros, cintura, piernas, hasta llegar a los tobillos. Esto te dará una sensación de recarga y podrás continuar con la actividad que estes haciendo de forma más eficiente.
Sin embargo, la siesta es lo ideal. Ojo que los alimentos son una buena forma de obtener energía, pero estoy hablando del cansancio y cómo evitar la acumulación de agotamiento. Aprovechen este inicio de semana para incorporar este hábito en su día a día!
