Triple Frontier: 6.5 out of 10. //SPOILERS\\ The biggest thing I have to say; Netflix please continue to cast Pedro Pascal in your shows and movies.
Triple Frontier is about 5 retired military veterans who decide to plan and execute a mission to murder a narcos and steal his money.
Obviously the cast is stellar and everyone played their characters significantly well. I don't think there was a single casting issue. Pascal stole the show away per usual when he's in something and Oscar Isaac kept you intrigued as the lead. I'm no fan of Ben Afleck but he did a good job making you sympathetic towards his character. Execution of the military mission seemed realistic and accurate. Per any military movie, the brotherhood was very strong and very present.
I never felt like there was any big moment in the whole movie. Sure they murdered the Narcos, which was anti-climactic at best, but there were so many rabbit trails that they started, they never finished or went back to. The biggest one was when Isaac's informant told him "That's not just Loreas money" led me to believe other Narcos would come after them. Never happened. It was just very blah.
In the end, this movie did not do it for me. With how amazing this cast is, it should have blown me out of the water but didn't catch my heart once. There was no A HA moment, and there were too many plots going on you didn't know which one to care about.
This movie is worth watching once, and never again.
