This Earth Day I did some reflecting and thought about when it was I started to become passionate about nature and caring for the earth. From what I can remember it dates back to when I was in 6th grade at our end of the year camping trip at Sleeping Bear Dunes. We had to go off on our own and journal. It was asked that in our journal we write down a promise that we will try and live out. I remember thinking it was dumb we had to do this and I put down my journal and looked around. Then I started to think about how much fun I had on our trip and how beautiful the place was that we were staying. I saw a piece of trash sitting in front of me, so I decided to write that my promise would be to take care of the earth and never litter. I didn't think anything of it at the time but to this day I still find myself looking back on that one promise I made 8 years ago.
If we don't start to change now and become more environmentally friendly we will permanently ruin the earth for the generations to come. We are destroying ecosystems and our ozone keeps getting thinner and thinner. It is up to us to make a difference and support clean energy. Instead of waiting for someone else to step up we all need to work together and try a fix this huge problem that is in front of us. If anyone has any questions about what they can do to help message me and I would love to shoot by some ideas! Hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful day! - 33 minutes ago
