This is Reed standing on the staircase of our first “flip,” as we were rushing to take last minute pictures before we had to leave our home for the last time—the home he was forced into finishing after we had to fire our “contractor.” The second picture is now, two houses down (mostly), on the verge of more, holding his newly minted “contractor” title.
He passed his test the first time-without apprenticing or going to school. It’s well known to be difficult to pass, and I was honestly surprised he passed it the first time, just because of It’s reputation.
In the last ten years reed has been a:
Local retail owner
Small business owner
Plus misc jobs through college. And his degree is in law enforcement/probation.
Some people are afraid to try new careers, but I love that reed is willing to try new things to find what he loves and thrives at. I’m looking forward to all the things “construction” him and I dream up together! - 6 hours ago
