1. A Plan Or A Wish?
As we've covered in previous posts, without an actionable plan in place, you cannot get from point A to B. It's all nice to have a goal to get a grammy some day, but what steps do you need to follow daily to help you get there? Write those tasks down and follow them daily, and track along the way!
2. Your Subconscious Mind 🧠👁
The subconscious mind is a powerful thing that governs most of our actions in life. If you're not used to creating daily habits to support your goals, your brain will work against you. 3. The "Marco Polo" Effect 🤔
A recent study showed that the dopamine signal in the brain gets stronger as the goal gets closer. It’s sort of a “Marco Polo” effect that influences choices made to direct action toward a goal. So keep goals reachable.
4. Discipline Over Motivation 🤟
As John C Maxwell mentioned in his book, "The 15 invaluable laws of growth": "Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing". Too often we're fuelled only by motivation, but in reality, in a world where there are forever ups and downs, it's discipline that is the ultimate weapon for success, not motivation.
