Chocolate Time!

It goes without saying really that you’re going to be surrounded by mountains of chocolate over this Easter weekend.
•
How do you stay on track?
•
How do you still enjoy yourself without feeling like you’re a bad bore?
•
If you’ve been sticking to your calorie deficit all week already then you know you’ll have some calories to play with when it comes to the weekend.  You know, unless you go crazy with it that you’ll not gain a single lb on the scales.
•
If you’ve not then the only option you really have is damage limitation.  Try to make sure you get your maintenance calories or as close to as possible to prevent those unwanted lbs finding their way on to your hips & waist.
•
A simple way to do this would be either get a workout in on the days you know you’re gonna be a slob, get out first thing in the morning and get a good 30-40 min power walk in, cut back on your calories the rest of the day so you have the calories available for your chocolate etc.
•
The options are there for you to stay on track, it’s up to you to be disciplined enough to do it.
•
You don’t have to let the temptation ruin your weekend, get up & get a workout done, feel guilt free when you have the Easter egg.
•

Well that's it folks. The first term of TMF. Building an outdoor fitness brand next door to an existing and flourishing one is very difficult however since starting out in February we've slowly and surely grown and now found our feet and an awesome identity. The men and women of TMF are all undoubtedly a family. They push each other as much as they push themselves. Whether it's burpees, sprints, shoulder press or devouring cold ale together these guys have got it right. Hard work and some serious hard play! 💪🏻 💪🏻 💪🏻 🍻 🍻 🍻

Our brand of exercise is what sets us apart. No running away, no hiding at the back. Hard graft for all deliverd by current serving military physical training instructors. ⚔ 💪🏻 No pretense, no half reps and certainly no cutting our groups down into abilities. One in all in. Razor sharp every time. 💪🏻 💪🏻 💪🏻 No Pyramid schemes, no special juice diets, no food out of bounds, no unsustainable 🐴 💩. No rolling the issue in glitter and hoping that a light jog and star jumps will get people in shape. Just total utter work. Burpees are starting to become a form of recovery. 😂

So I’ve been sick all week. 🤒

I’ve been only in the gym twice before I got hit with the flu and then the week went to sh**
ㅤ
In the past I’d freak out like a perfectionist.
ㅤ
Oh no my protein.. oh no my macros.. oh no my gains!
ㅤ
My weight dropped 1 kg this week just from water weight and food.
ㅤ
But I’m cool with it.
ㅤ
Sometimes you have to accept life will have events that set you back.
ㅤ
But setbacks lead to bigger comebacks.
ㅤ
In fact I am grateful for this setback as it will allow me a couple days to rest. Which I haven’t allowed my body to do in a Long time.
ㅤ
So count your blessings and always look for the silver lining. Your setbacks and downfalls are what build your character and make you great.
ㅤ
If you get barraged by life remember there is always someone out there suffering from bigger problems and dealing with it with a positive attitude.

Ankle is recovering well 🙌🏼 still slightly swollen but the bruising has gone down massively. Pain is subsiding too but I don't have full movement back yet (moving the foot up and down on the ankle joint is an issue). This makes certain @ddpyoga moves hard - such as cobra or broken table - as I can't rest it flat on the mat. But I'm really pleased with how I'm feeling overall following a few days of exercise. EAT 80% CLEAN FOOD, 20% JUNK FOOD: Follow the 80/20 rule. Following this rule allows us to still eat healthy while enjoying the foods we love in order to keep sustainability. What many people do though is they flip this rule on themselves and use it as an excuse to eat tons of junk food. Flexible dieting is meant to help you enjoy your favorite food in moderation. You’re not gonna get results eating 80% junk.

EAT ENOUGH PROTEIN: You need to eat enough protein in order to maintain or build muscle. Getting enough of it will support muscle growth and strength. Aim to get 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight.

From the back check ins this week. Going to work on this posterior chain and doing eveything to make it hard to compete with on those face the curtain shots 
Still holding conditon at 90 kg so we keep pushing. I think one thing i really do have an advantage over lots of people is my enjoyment of the off season look and the fact i like pushing my body weight up (i dont care about being shredded). This means we will venture into never before weight territory and in turn muscle gain @joshbridgman

❤️A lot of these exercises are very versatile and have a ton of variations! Odds are if you can plank for 4 minutes easily, you need to up the difficulty! Planking for a full minute seems like an eternity. There are always ways to make a progression or regression 👌🏻

☝🏻Most people don’t realize how important compound movements are for their core strength. If you have a weak core, progressing in these compound lifts, will be challenging & near impossible. Core strength is vital in your life for more than just training.
