Have you ever had a rough day only to go outdoors and feel as if every problem just melted away? Like the best medicine is fresh air, some rain drops, and earthy hues. .
That’s exactly how I felt yesterday after waking with a stiff neck and being forced to slow down a bit. Instead of staying inside, I decided to take a walk into the woods under the grey sky. The ground was covered with mist as the fog sat low against the mountains. Each breath took me farther away from the day’s worries and into a calm stillness. .
I looked intently at the first large spruce tree I came across, and to my excitement, spotted the first tips of the season! If you haven’t foraged for spruce tips before, and you have them in your area, you really should go out and start picking some. They’re one of my favorite things to forage for in spring. Citrus flavored and packed with Vitamin C. The season is short, so you need to pick them while you can. I like to throw a couple on my oatmeal with nuts and berries. But my favorite recipe...the one that gets the best reactions...well, you’ll have to check out my IGTV video for that one! - 5 minutes ago
