Fair Apparel. was a sector within Fair Market. that included t-shirts designed by women artists and designers that respond to this particular socio-political moment. The t-shirts were included as works of art in and of themselves or as artifacts of social and art historical movements that deepen our understanding of feminism and contemporary creative art movements.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Artists included were Otherwild x Herstory with The Future is Female t-shirt, Zoila Darton-WORD agency with Creator shirt, Bella Doña, Tatyana Fazlalizadeh, and Guerrilla Girls.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last December during Miami Art Week, @anthony_spinello and @zoelukov curated the first in a series of alternative art fairs, entitled “Fair.” Fair., an alternative non-commercial art fair that took place December 7-10, 2017 at Brickell City Centre, served as a platform for a diverse and multigenerational group of women artists. Fair. seeked to address gender inequality in the art world and beyond by providing space for radical women artists to create site-specific interventions in a non-traditional venue.
