Lamborghini is deciding to join the game of battery assistance! Not to long ago, our beautiful Italian friends with their raging bulls decided to change their ways. Coming in 2022, the worldly-famous Aventador will become a Plug-In Hybrid! That’s right, electric motors will be alongside the 6.5L Naturally Aspirated V12. ️
Lamborghini has expressed quite heavily that the new Aventador will get many of its’ looks from the Terzo Millennio Concept (photos in this article). Pretty nuts! Many changes are in fact going to be implemented in this new Aventador. Starting off, the upcoming plug-in hybrid Aventador will have an all new carbon-fiber chassis that will be home to three motors. Two will be electric and of course, the beautifully sounding 6.5L N/A V12. Also, a brand new dual-clutch automatic transmission will be fitted. Due to the extra battery assistance, the new Aventador is going to have access to an additional 400 horsepower. Thus, resulting in the new Aventador to be well over 1000 horsepower!
THIS. IS. INSANE! Have you ever driven a Lamborghini Aventador? If not, it’s crazy. It’s current 770 horsepower delivery is violent, aggressive, very loud, and extremely fast. Now this thing is going to have an additional 400 horsepower? Well, let’s just say new speed records and lap times are bound to be broken.
As you can probably tell, we love Lamborghini at Tialg. We have no doubts in our minds of how great this new plug-in hybrid Aventador will be. Though the only sad things is, we all have to play the waiting game until pictures and more specifications are going to be released. This is news we are beyond excited for and cannot wait for the real car to be unveiled!
This is all we currently have for you in regards to the new plug-in hybrid Aventador coming in 2022. Until then, thank you for stopping by and please enjoy these official photos from Lamborghini of the current SVJ and the Terzo Millennio Concept! 📸
