Last deadlift day couldn’t have gone better. Last comp I finished with a 611 deadlift, pulled 610 today with little to no grind. Backdowns at 525 4 x 2 and bench 6 x 2 at 300. 8 days out, 1 day of training left, bring all the smoke .

Every day is bench day. 255x3 @ 9 on bench to a 3-board! I believe this is a rep PR to this board height, but it also has been quite a while since I've hit this rep/board scheme. I have missed more than a few benches due to a crappy lockout so I have been murdering my triceps these past few months, hopefully this all pays off!

Picking the right movements is key. All those templates online will probably work to an extent but imagine how much better they would be if you implemented variations to hammer YOUR weaknesses... Don't be afraid to change things here and there even on big name programs but remember to try changing just 1 thing at a time. If you change let's say 5 things up, how do you know what change(s) actually worked or sunk you? Ya don't, you gotta guess and that's a recipe for wasted training blocks.

HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRESS?! πŸ’ͺ
Do you measure progress by the number on the scale? The inches on the tape measure? The numbers on the bar? 
There are so many ways to measure your progress!
But I believe there are only 2 ways  to judge progress. 
The first one is based on how you look and feel in your clothes! 
Are they tight or loose? These can be based on different goals, losing weight or gaining weight and muscle! 
The second is my personal favourite and the one I live by the most. It's the numbers on the bar!
If you're getting stronger, you are building muscle as well! IMO. 
I believe the goal is to always build muscle and strength, let your nutrition and cardio dictate what your overall physique looks like! Once again IMO. Eat and train according to your goals! 
Let your clothes and weights do all the talking for you. #KenpachiStrength

Very happy with 360x1 @ 8.5 on squats! Getting close to my typical 1 @ 8, it was lowkey driving me nuts to not even be over the mid three hundreds for singles.

Floor press felt great today, 205x8 rated @ 9 but looked closer to 8 tbh. I was thinking about adding some weight but was running short on time... Feeling sore as hell lately, brings back memories of when I first started lifting! I've been repeating "how you feel is a lie" constantly this week and it's worked out pretty well. Eventually I'll be back to my higher threshold for muscle soreness!

Feeling pretty much 100% from sick 😁 so I decided to literally just curl, cardio and rehab myself in preparation for tomorrow. Probably gonna chunk heavy bench, farmers carrys and the pull ups I didnt do today into tomorrow's workout.

Biggest factor in being able to train every day, and actually even if you train 5-6 days a week, is auto regulating your sessions and not mindlessly training or even mindlessly following a program without having a true understanding on how your body reacts to your training

It's been almost 3 months since I've squatted anything near 5 plates but it still felt smooth. So much of my focus was in rebuilding my weakpoints then this program has been based more on my deadlift and I haven't been squatting very much.

Heaviest squat set of my last training cycle with 200kg/440lbs for 5 @8.5. 
Squat has been the easiest lift to progress on with 3x frequency per week. Bench been stuck in a limbo, because of some nagging pain in my elbow and deadlift is meh, due to switching to a stiff bar.

Decided to cut out quad accessories and add more ham work to help my deadlift.

Heaviest squat set of my last training cycle with 200kg/440lbs for 5 @8.5. Squat has been the easiest lift to progress on with 3x frequency per week. Sumo positioning felt really off, and it was my first time pulling hook grip in forever, but as slow as they moved, my deadlifts didn’t actually feel difficult at all. The speed definitely sucked though. Made up for it by killing the match game with dat Barbell Commission though πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

305 x 3 @ 8.5/9 for todays top set. I’m pretty sure this is some kind of PR because I cant recall I time Ive hit a triple at any weight over 295 for 3 competition legal reps in terms of keeping my ass down on the bench.

So far I've really enjoyed the accessories I've chosen this training block. Lower back still very tight from yesterday so I replaced military press with handstand push ups but I'm definitely happy that incline is beginning to feel very solid again and has definitely made improvements in strength and physique so I plan to see what I can do with it

Squat single today 335@sub6/6. Back offs at 295x6x3 last set @sub6/6. Really focusing on not focusing on anything in particular, ironically. Just getting out of my head and squatting. Feels pretty good, actually feel like I'm using my quads for once. 
Bench was 205x4,215x4,210x4x4 all @sub6/6. Feeling the fatigue from Saturday's bench session. Also upper back was especially tight for some reason so arch wasn't that great. But still moving nonetheless.

Today was not the best day to have a big squat,have a stomach bug but pushed through feeling awful. Didnt hit the max effort I wanted and only tried my previous best(not filmed) so just finished with a set of 5 at 495 to get a little weight on the back. Did not feel like doing anything upperbody related today, I'll group it up tomorrow. Worked on some deficiencies today and had a 2 solid top singles!

435x1 @ 9 on deficit deadlifts was big... I forgot my straps at home AND I was cramping which made me rush the lift but I still had pounds in the tank well over 400 lbs. 335x1 @ 9 on pin squats was nothing to brush off as well, I stayed in my quads better coming off the pins. Heavy block pulls tomorrow so I did nothing but calisthenics and curls for today πŸ™ƒ on top of the core strength you get from calisthenics it also decompresses your spine, with the right exercises of course. Definitely recommend training for all around strength from both free weights and bodyweight exercises and not just one or the other

Saturday's bench. 245x2@7.5/8, 260x2@9.5 (supposed to be @9 lol), 220x6x4 followed by a 220x7@9. Bench felt better than it did past Saturday's. The first double moved better than expected so made a big jump to the second double. A little sloppy but strength seems there.
