As I mentioned on Sunday my mom had been altering a lot of her recipes so that @djinnntawnik and I can eat healthier and don't have to cook too many separate meals. Today she made a new take on her Italian stuffed meatloaf! 1st look at that beast! 2dly it's loaded with deliciousness! 3dly O👏M👏G👏 It's healthy! It has lean prosciutto, prosciutto cotto, fresh mozz, swiss, and hard boiled eggs. We're going to pair it with either grilled veggies or a smart pasta, we haven't decided yet. I'm so glad she's trying hard, because of the bread crumbs we will.have only 1 slice, but man the sauce 🤤🤤 to👏die👏for👏! #swiperight to see all the pics!

If you are real #hungry & want to get the most bang for your macro buck, (and you’re saving macros for @chickfila later like me) make a big ol #salad and use a #lowcal dressing 🥗 🙌👌🏼 My favorite dressings are the @bolthousefarms variety, but today I used an apple vinegarette from @traderjoes (swipe).
Another thing to note is I could have made this lower fat by only using the egg white, choosing fat free feta, and a different dressing. #themoreyouknow🌈 .

🍓 Snack was a lidl protein yogurt, rwl blueberry oat muffin
🍓 Preworkout was 2 chocolate rice cakes and a protein bar
🍓 Dinner was turkey and lettuce stuffed pitta breads with light mayo.

I haven't trained in two weeks due to exhaustion and lack of energy. Hopefully when I train tomorrow I won't die! I'll take my 2 rest days with a smile but I'll be back tomorrow and Friday for a session 💪 hopefully I'm able to push heavy!

⭕️WIDER GRIP = WIDER LATS? NOT REALLY!⭕️⁣⁣

I’m pretty sure you’ve heard this countless times: “grip the bar at its widest to develop a wide back.” ⁣⁣
⁣⁣.
And mind you, I actually believed the same for a while, until I questioned this very thing myself on how would that actually even work. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣.
✅Muscles grow as a response to a continuous & progressive stimulus induced by training, fueled by proper nutrition. ⁣⁣
As long as the stimulus is 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 meaning that it is actually hitting the muscles you’re looking to develop by fully contracting them, they will grow. And by “growth” you get both: thickness & width.⁣⁣
⁣⁣.
Although the studies I'm presenting took the Lat Pulldown to show the results, the same applies for pull ups too since both exercises activate lats similarly. [1]⁣
⁣⁣.
A medium grip seems to works even better than a wider one, research shows. [2]⁣
⁣⁣.
And this because a narrower grip allows for better technique & ROM (range of motion), which seems to have a greater impact on not only lats, but also trap & infraspinatus muscles as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣.
How wide, you ask? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣.
It’s gotta feel comfortable and you gotta be able to perform full ROM in order to fully contract your back muscles, and maintain your shoulders in a safe spot: my suggestion is around 1.5 shoulder width.⁣⁣

❌ A wide grip for them ego lofters: “yuh braw, you need to grip it at the opposing edges of the bar to stimulate that width brah, yeuh!!.” ⁣⁣
⁣⁣.
By gripping the bar so wide, you will never be able to even fully complete the movement. Your shoulders won’t even be able to stay locked down and back (which is how you should perform the exercise), so they’ll be more likely to internally rotate and completely shut down lat engagement. Need a quick, healthy lunch?  Grab any kind of wrap, some hummus, and shred up some vegetables. Just use what’s in your fridge at the moment. I used carrots, beets, radishes, kale, chard, scallions, and spinach. Spread the hummus on the tortilla, sprinkle the veggies all around but not too close to the edges, and then tuck in the sides and roll up as you keep tucking. If you don’t have hummus, I mix mayo with siracha sauce and it makes it more zesty! Tasty high protein meatball recipe 🤤

Macros – serves 4 
Cals 406
Protein 33.9g
Carbs 39.6
Fat 11g

Ingerdients
450g of turkey mince
1 tablespoon of tomato puree

2 tablespoons of mixed herbs (one in meatball mix and one in sauce)
Salt and pepper
1 yellow pepper diced
1 red pepper diced
400g tin of chopped tomatoes
1 medium onion diced
3 cloves of garlic diced
Low cal spray oil
1 teaspoon of paprika 
200mls of chicken stock
280g of spaghetti
Method
In a bowl combine the turkey mince, tomato puree, 1 tablespoon of mixed herbs and salt and pepper. Form into balls. ( I made 12 which was 3 each per portion) and set aside.  To make the sauce spray the pan with spray oil then add the garlic and onion to the frying pan and cook over a medium to high heat for 5 mins then add the peppers, chopped tomatoes, paprika, herbs and combine over a medium heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Add the stock and combine. Reduce the heat to low/medium and place the meatballs into the sauce, cover and cook for about 20-30 mins.
Cook pasta as per packet instruction and serve.

Okay so I've been asked to do before & after pics.... *gulp*... I'm not proud in any way of that picture on the left btw. I will tell you that I wore that to take my kids trick or treating & I didn't let my size stop me from having fun.... But my feet were so sore from all that walking & my knees were strained constantly carrying all that weight around. On the flip side,  I AM proud of the picture on the right. It's taken me only since December 2018 to lose all this weight. What's my secret? Eating better!!!! It's really that simple. Less fast food (aka FAT food as I like to call it now), salads every day,  shopping mostly in the refrigerator/ fresh sections, i keep a veggie tray in my fridge constantly so when I want a snack it's right there,  no excuses... I've made many "small " changes that have led to a BIG weight loss... I'm not perfect,  I still cheat,  I still eat things that aren't healthy,  but little by little it's helping. I used to think it was all or nothing,  but that was why I was failing. I tried to stay away from chocolate & pizza, but truth is,  I can still have it, but 1 or 2 servings instead of 5-6... know what i'm saying? The first 3 days were hard. Then I hit a rough spot at 30 days... then I was the same weight for 45 days.  But,  It. Takes. Time. I didn't gain all that weight overnight, and I can't lose it overnight. I'm loving the progress i'm seeing. And oh-- my knees don't hurt at all anymore!!!🙃💃*does happy dance*
