Hi I like donuts 🍩 
Before I started 80 day obsession last year, I had just dabbled a little bit with the portion control. I knew I needed to track my food so that I knew what I was eating each day and the calories I was eating; but I was not doing a good job of managing my portions. 
I would swing from eating superhealthy to super bad and back-and-forth and when you’re not managing your portions and you’re not eating healthy it doesn’t matter how much you track what your eating your not gonna make progress.

So I started really focusing on portion control. And the containers really helped me grasp what I was eating and how much of it I was actually supposed to eat.

I think there’s a misconception with portion control that you’re going to be so restricted in what you can eat they are going to feel starved. And in my experience that was actually the complete opposite. So the portion system lays out for you the proper portion sizes and the number of different containers you could have each day. But where the freedom comes in is that you get to pick what you have with in those containers. And so there really is freedom in the structure.

I’m not a person who does well on those “diet” plans where they give you a specific meal to eat each day and it’s usually food that you don’t eat or like. And because it’s not something you enjoy or we eat, we get off track. So I really like the flexibility within the structure to find foods that I like to eat and challenge myself to find new ways to make those foods within the structure. 
I learned that I really did have to do some sort of meal prep, either fixing it the Sunday before, making extras for dinner so that I had some for lunch, or buying prepackaged healthy snacks, But to just go into the next day without a plan I really was left to my own devices to either grab something in the cafeteria or to go out to eat or just even throw junk into my lunch bag in the name of “eating from home”. Trying to get back on it and that means I have to be super strict with myself for a while which is fine as that's how it works best for me after or before a holiday. Just a pain that I have so many events coming up over the next few months 😫

Cómo te preparas para tu semana? Te invito a no esperar a la hora de la comida para decidir. Tener que elegir con hambre y poco tiempo de preparación te perjudicará. Planifica. Te ahorras tiempo, molestias, y arrepentimientos (después de malas decisiones). Además de ahorrar tiempo y esfuerzo, tener comidas ya preparadas en el refrigerador esperando por ti te ayuda a evitar tentaciones de comer afuera (pues generalmente son comidas no muy saludables). Es algo que siempre funciona para mi. Cuando estoy en la calle que veo algo y me provoca recuerdo: tengo comida en la casa, y además comida rica que no quiero desperdiciar. Y me voy a la casa a comer mi comida nutritiva y deliciosa. Por eso siempre tengo algo preparado listo esperándome. Pruébalo! 
A mi me gusta preparar comidas con muchas verduras, y principalmente vegetarianas para la mayoría de la semana, por eso escojo un par de platos como sopa de verduras y otro con leguminosas como lentejas (que son mis favoritas). Cocino para 5 días y congelo la mitad para ir sacando cada día y hacer mi vida más sencilla y saludable. A veces incluso hago jugo verde para 2-3 días. Sólo asegúrate de refrigerarlo en vidrio, completamente lleno (que no quede espacio para aire pues se oxida). Te invito a no esperar a la hora de la comida para decirte y empezar a cocinar, pues estarás tentado a elegir el camino más rápido y con riesgo de que algo poco nutritivo. Planifica tu semana el domingo o el lunes y cocina en grandes cantidades, para varios días de una sola vez. We can feel like we are achieving less than everyone else.⁣⁣

That everyone is in better shape.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
More travelled.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That they have perfect relationships.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The problem is we see it everyday so we unconsciously judge ourselves based on something that isn’t real.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
An unachievable standard.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Just know that whatever your feeling right now.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Be it sadness, frustration, depression, anxiety... ⁣
⁣
We ALL face these emotions.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Everyone has emotional seasons.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Without fail, there are times every year where I question things and myself.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Where I feel like what I’m doing isn’t good enough.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Where I struggle to find meaning.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Where the world just isn’t as bright, perhaps because I have worries and insecurities to face.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But there’s one thing that helps me through this more than anything.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Acceptance.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We are meant to experience an array of emotions.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You can’t feel joy without sometimes feeling sadness.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You can’t feel achievement without hardship and sometimes failure. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And it’s ok, accepting these feelings are part and parcel of being human allows us to move through them... ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Rather than resisting them, holding onto them and dwelling on them... ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s in those times I also find making your health a priority hugely beneficial... ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
✔️ Meditating⁣⁣
✔️Exercising to get out of your head and into your body⁣⁣
✔️Getting good quality sleep⁣⁣
✔️Eating more nutritious foods⁣⁣
✔️Walking more to give yourself the extra headspace.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So if this is you right now, or it’s just been a rough day.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s ok, whether it seems like it or not, you are not alone.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And like all seasons they pass on leaving room for a brighter one to emerge.

Why did we do sets of deadlifts and Glute bridges before❓❓

✅ To build a solid hip hinge movement pattern 😄😄

We kept the deadlift and Glute bridges light, just so she sets the movement in place, so she can build up to what she was doing previous on her hip thrust.

When warming up, it’s important to mimic movements that you will be doing in the main part of your session 🤓 .

I’ve done slimming world on and off for about 10 years. I’ve finally realised the reason I kept failing. Boredom. I was eating the same things over and over again so I lost interest. So this time I’m trying to mix it up. And to do this I’m finding cuisines and recipes I never use. Tonight I made a Somalian recipe and it was LUSH. I can make all sorts. HOME ABS WORKOUT 💗
 If you like working out your abs using your body weight this on is for you! 
I like mixing it up, sometimes doing weighted exercises and sometimes feeling a burn with workouts like this 😊. There are 4 different exercises and I like doing circuits either setting a 30sec timer for each workout and then taking a break between each round or doing 20-50 reps of each exercise before moving on to the next. 
It will work your muscles in the best way if you do them slow and controlled.

1. Side crunches (lifted legs) I focus on my obliques doing this one
2. Opposite toe touch 
3. Side plank reach through
4. Crunch variation
