Social media often gives the impression that everyone else is having the time of their life...
And sometimes it can make you feel pretty damn lonely.
We can feel like we are achieving less than everyone else.
That everyone is in better shape.
That they have perfect relationships.
The problem is we see it everyday so we unconsciously judge ourselves based on something that isn’t real.
An unachievable standard.
Just know that whatever your feeling right now.
Be it sadness, frustration, depression, anxiety...
We ALL face these emotions.
Everyone has emotional seasons.
Without fail, there are times every year where I question things and myself.
Where I feel like what I’m doing isn’t good enough.
Where I struggle to find meaning.
Where the world just isn’t as bright, perhaps because I have worries and insecurities to face.
But there’s one thing that helps me through this more than anything.
We are meant to experience an array of emotions.
You can’t feel joy without sometimes feeling sadness.
You can’t feel achievement without hardship and sometimes failure.
And it’s ok, accepting these feelings are part and parcel of being human allows us to move through them...
Rather than resisting them, holding onto them and dwelling on them...
It’s in those times I also find making your health a priority hugely beneficial...
️Exercising to get out of your head and into your body
️Getting good quality sleep
️Eating more nutritious foods
️Walking more to give yourself the extra headspace.
So if this is you right now, or it’s just been a rough day.
It’s ok, whether it seems like it or not, you are not alone.
And like all seasons they pass on leaving room for a brighter one to emerge. - 1 hour ago
