Don't be afraid of the unknown. Of foreign places, of those vast spaces you've never been to before, spaces that might make you feel out of your comfort zone. Of new things, new people.
We have this innate fear of the unfamiliar. An instinct perhaps, once meant to keep us safe from danger and peril, but of little use now. The lives most of us lead - here in our big cities or small towns, under our laws and within our carefully built societies - we are protected. There are no immediate dangers. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The one risk we all share is missing out on opportunities, out of fear. The fear of failing, the fear of not knowing what to do, the fear of merely feeling uncomfortable - these are the modern dangers we should try to overcome. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
'The ships are safe in the harbour, but that's not what ships are built for.' So venture bravely into the unknown, it hides very few horrors and many wonders. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
