What if I told you that toxins found in the air, in products we use, our food, and everywhere can lead not only to fat gain, but can also keep us from being able to lose fat, regardless of how much we exercise or how clean we eat?
Well, that's the honest to goodness truth.
You see, when our body is exposed to so many toxins that it can't safely get rid of them, it stores them...IN OUR FAT CELLS! When they're stored there, we are more protected from overtaxing our systems with these harsh toxins. So by storing the toxins in our fat cells, our body is trying to protect us.
Toxins that are water soluble are more quickly and easily purged from our bodies via urine and sweat. But toxins that are fat soluble have to be processed by our liver in order to become water soluble. And when our liver is overtaxed, our body kicks those toxins to our fat cells to sit and wait.
And as if the fat on our bodies wasn't bad enough, there is a bigger and more serious problem that we face when our bodies are holding onto these toxins in our fat cells: they keep our bodies from being able to burn fat, which often leads to serious health issues.
The most common place we see the build up of these toxins in fat cells is right around the waist. That's why belly fat is always a red flag.
Have you been exposed to any of the following lately: BPA, fluoride, diesel, ammonia, aluminum, parabens, flame retardants, tin cans, PERC (used in dry cleaning), pesticides? These are some of the most common ways that we are exposed to or ingest toxins that make us fat.
We hope you'll join us at 6:30 this evening (Tuesday) at the clinic (1700 W. Dove, Unit 80) to talk about what we can do to live a cleaner life and reduce our exposure to these toxins!
