*Go for the Real Thing*
How many times have you tried DIYing your way and ended up frustrated??
I just did that. DIYing a latte and after the first few gulps, I threw it out.
In the evenings, whenever I need to brainstorm a lot, I really like to do it with COLD latte. Something about having a cold latte keeps me focused and clear-headed , yet not so caffeinated that I can’t sleep.
I was already thinking of getting one from the Starbucks on my way home from the groceries. But I kinda bought too much and had no more hands so I went back home first.
When I was home, I thought - hmm... I can actually make my own latte. I have black coffee (which I drink hot in the mornings) but no milk.
A light bulb went on. I have ice cream and that’s dairy right? I bet that would be delish would black coffee, and I don’t need to go out again on coffee run!
Feeling massively proud of myself, I started preparing. Brewed coffee, prepared ice, scooped the ice cream.
After one gulp, I thought - this should be good.
I took another gulp - this isn’t so bad.
The third gulp came - and phew - it’s bad.
I threw the whole thing down the sink. Took my wallet and keys and walked to Starbucks for my latte.
Let’s be really honest, there are things you can get away DIYing, but those things that matter to your success aren’t.
My brainstorm moments are important to me - they help me go from ideas to profitable initiatives.
