Today is Day 4 of our #developingcoachcollective
We’re talking about integrity.
Integrity means different things to each of us because we don’t all share the same values or “ethics”.
I’m curious what does integrity mean to you?
What does it mean for you to be IN integrity in your business?
For me, it means to be true to my values and beliefs. It means to practice what I teach. To be an example of my beliefs.
Even when I think I’m failing, I come back to my integrity using it as my anchor.
The tricky thing I want to point out though is to be careful of trying to live up to “perfectionistic” standards and having a high moral ground.
Sometimes, we are living according to our feminist beliefs and values. Sometimes, we’re not. Cause we still live in the system. We live contradictions.
Not everything is within integrity. That doesn’t mean we don’t try to be as honest with ourselves as possible and come from that place and self-reflect. We do.
And, it also means that we acknowledge the messy world we live in, and that we are all participating in capitalism, which exploits people for gain.
How I choose to see it, life is not a binary of right/wrong, perfect/imperfect, etc. It’s complex, messy, wild, all things happening simultaneously.
It can be that way in business too. It’s okay to be imperfect. It’s okay to get it wrong. You’re human. You can still love yourself.
Part of being in integrity and committed to liberation includes loving myself along the way, through it all, even when I act out of integrity.
It’s a journey. A continuous learning. An expanded consciousness and growth.
I’d love to hear, what does being in integrity in your biz mean to you, friends?
