People always get down on Monday’s. The beginning of the work week when, for many, reality sinks in again.
Those people who walk into Monday with a poor attitude, I feel bad for them. I feel bad that they have to deal with such horrible or boring things that they have to dread Monday’s or the day they have to start work yet again.
We come across a lot of people who dislike their jobs; I mean there are way too many of them and I’ve always said that if they don’t like their job, get a new one.
Why would you want to live the short life you have on eating it being angry because of your job. If you don’t like being around people, get out of a customer facing position - food service rings a bell for me on this one.
If you’re sitting at a desk at all day and find yourself hating it, get up and move or better yet, go find a job that doesn’t have you sitting at a desk all day.
I could go on and on and on about all the things you do and how you could change them but really, it’s as simple as you making a change for yourself. You making the move, you applying for the job, you networking, you making the decision that this isn’t what you want.
If you don’t know what you want, keep moving until you do. If you can’t keep moving, it’s time to start thinking about it and while you’re thinking about it, move yourself into another job that you will enjoy.
When I became unhappy in my job, I made what felt like the hardest decision of my life - to move from a job of 13 years to a whole new company that I had no understanding of. Here I am now, much happier yet not happy enough. I continue to look for what will make me happy and fulfill a desire in me that I’ve had for as long as I can remember.
It can happen - you just need to take the steps to make it happen. You control what happens in your every day life. You will continue to sit on the same unhappy path that you hate if you don’t get up and make a change.
Why live your life feeling nothing more than happy, even if it’s just for the thing you do for work?
Do you feel stuck and miserable in your job but don’t feel you can make a change? Or maybe your just waiting for the right moment? - 2 hours ago
