Talked about this with my hermana @claudesilver last week and with @gracegavilanes yesterday but these last few days has made it abundantly clear - gotta get better at managing my energy just as much as I do my time.
No good comes from consistently pouring into things that don’t bring me the most levels of joy, rest, excitement, or momentum possible. It’s a skill we need to not be afraid to hone. It means saying no out loud more often, instead of just thinking “no” but saying “yes.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It also means being okay sunsetting dreams and chapters to leave room for new ones or updated versions of others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I woke up this morning feel sluggish and knowing that I’ve had an exciting but draining week. That I need to prioritize myself over the next few days. Here’s what that looks like for me - I want to work on my to do list because the more I cross off the more room I’ll have to breathe, I’m getting a haircut tomorrow and that’ll make me feel lighter, I’m starting work on new projects and that gives me forward movement even when I feel stuck. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m also dressing up just cause I want to look my best and help my mind and body rise to meet me there. - 8 hours ago
