Let's try this again.
Last year I had some ambitious songwriting goals. To write a complete song a week. To produce and release a song a month. To gain 50 monthly @Spotify listeners. To make $50 in songwriting income.
I achieved none of those goals. I wrote only 11 songs, released only 3, made only $3.60. But at the end of December, I did have 25 monthly listeners (28 as of today). And I can honestly say that I am a better songwriter today than I was last year. I have improved my producing skills. And I'm more excited about songwriting than ever.
John Chisum, who mentors songwriters, says the question a songwriter should ask is not "Am I good enough?" But rather "Do I feel called enough to get good enough?" And I do.
Please pray for me and my songs. And maybe even listen to them. - 10 days ago
