Fruit Salad in a mason jar- kid friendly!
Serving healthy snacks to your kids is important to providing good nutrition, supporting lifelong healthy eating habits, and helping to prevent potentially-disabling diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity. Snacks play a major and growing role in children’s diets, and no matter how many healthy snacks you create, children tend to pick unhealthy choices, because, unfortunately, they are exposed to so much junk food.
That being said, I made these for each of my kids. I took their favorite fruits and put them all together in a mason jar- they loved it, how could they not- it was their fav fruit, looked pretty to the eye, & they knew it was going to taste good, and of course, it was in a cool jar! (I also offered them a side of plain or vanilla Greek yogurt to eat with it).
So instead of cookies and chips to snack on, try fruit salad in a mason jar!
