How do you monitor progress even when the number on your weighing scales doesn’t move?
.
There are multiple reasons as to why your body weight may remain the same yet you’re still progressing on your training and nutrition plan - increased muscle mass whilst body fat has reduced being the main one. But how else can you monitor results to ensure progress is being made?
.
- Progress pictures - taken weekly at the same time of day.
- How your clothes fit.
- How you’re feeling - increased energy and improved mood.
- You feel more comfortable in your own skin.
- You are stronger in your workouts.
- Your sleep and recovery from workouts is better.
.
These are just some of the variables I will look at to ensure a training and nutrition plan is working for a client. The progress pictures and how clothes fit are the main things I look for to ensure body composition is improving. The other variables are measures of health. If these improve I know the training volume is enough to produce gains without overloading the individual. I can also ensure that the individuals diet is working to help them reach their goal without making them feel drained or constantly fatigued.

Hopefully this helps those of you who fixate on the number on the scales a few other ‘check points’ to help keep your results linear.

Недавно закончился  #кадининград'ский этап Кубка мира среди клубных команд #ЯнтарнаяГиря! Были у меня мысли выполнить Мастера спорта международного класса #МСМК по нормативам всемирной ассоциации гиревых клубов. Норматив относительно высокий, но реальный! Чтобы принять участие в нужной категории, пришлось сбросить около пяти кило собственного веса.  Перед самим стартом уже и не надеялся поднять нужное количество, так как в зале стало уж слишком тепло. Но решил идти сразу высоким темпом по девять подъёмов в минуту с гирями 32 кило Длинным Циклом! Легко не было и, в итоге, всё получилось! Да ещё и с первым местом🥇Получилось перетерпеть момент, когда тебе уже всё равно на чтобы то ни было..! Im Moment ist es noch ziemlich angenehm & da bietet sich eine kleine #trainingseinheit doch an ☺️ Im Moment trainiere ich wieder mehr mit meinen geliebten #kettlebells 
Die Kombination aus #krafttraining & #hiit gefällt mir gut & im Hinblick auf Sonntag, habe ich das Gefühl, dass dies im Moment einfach besser zu mir passt. 🤷‍♀️ Anstrengend ist es jedenfalls 💪🏼 Denkt bei dem Wetter ans regelmäßige trinken 😉

I got into kettlebells because being a mum I needed an exercise that challenged me without needing to leave the house. All you need to start is one kettlebell and some determination. Obviously coaching is a good idea first if you have never used one before but there you have access to so many great coaches on Instagram. Kneeling presses used to be my nemesis but I love them now🤓. If you have a leak in your roof, there’s no point cleaning up the leak if you don’t know where it’s (the problem) is coming from.

Same if you’re looking to lose weight, there’s no point focusing on the TYPE of exercise you choose to do, if the calories you are consuming put you in a calorie surplus... it’s called fighting a losing battle.

Og følelsen af at være stærk og kraftfuld, er tilbage som den var før sommerferien sidste år( inden jeg fik problemer med foden) Det betaler sig at være tålmodig og tage et skridt ad gangen. Forgot to post this earlier today but took this #sweatyselfie after I finished a tough #backworkout with my #personaltrainer today. It was fun because we set my baseline weight for a #deadlift using a *real* #barbell today. Before we had just been using #kettlebells and preset weighted  barbells, so it was really fun to play with the Olympic weight bar and to set my goal and baseline for reps next time I do it.

Gimmicks are good business.☻ When you get tired of counting calories and calculating macros because you can't live like a robot we have a sustainable approach for you to get fitter and stay that way. Fitness and health doesn't have to be as regimented,  complicated, boring and frustrating as many professionals would have you believe. There is no magic proportion of macros that works for everyone and there isn't a single exercise that is essential to your health and wellbeing. 
When deciding what to do next and considering all the options that are available to you take a moment to ask yourself if it's something you can see yourself doing for the rest of your life. Because if it isn't then whatever results you get from it aren't going to last anyway and what the hell is the point in getting temporary results. Что бы мы не делали везде задействован хват✊
Сильные предплечья - одна из основ тренинга спортсмена-силовика🐂 Слабые предплечья не позволят удерживать долгое время штангу во время тренинга, ограничат вес в жиме лежа, если вы бьете грушу вам нужны сильные кисти, чтобы не выбить их во время удара👊 если боритесь вам также нужен сильный хват и т. д. Кто ездил на советском автопроме поймет, чтобы развернуться, там тоже нужна сила предплечья😂
Я стараюсь чаще уделять время тренингу силы хвата и предплечья

💥Аксель удерживаем в статике
80кг - 30сек х2
100кг - 10сек х3
80кг - 20сек х2
💥Подтягивания в расширителях
5 подходов по 10 раз
💥Подъем гири на бицепс, держась за ядро
32кг - 8-12 раз х3
💥Подъем штанги верхним хватом
20кг - 10-15раз х3
💥Колодец
16кг - 4х
Крутим гриф в одну сторону и в другую, делаем до отказа
💥Забиваем предплечья до отказа подъемом гирей 8кг
.
Наиболее эффективно тренить предплечья в день тренировки рук☝️

Sweaty and red-faced with smudged mascara means... I’m back at kettlebells. Yay! Grey roots and crows feet mean... I’m getting old. Boo! Anyhoo... it’s been a while since I’ve braved a kettlebell class, so I used the light bells... and still had my butt handed to me. 💪🏻 Btw - as I may have mentioned once or four hundred times, this getting old business ain’t for sissies!

And just pushed the pace on everything and kept it unbroken, fun one if your short on time.

This week’s mantra: SOMETHING IS NOT NOTHING.💥

Just because you can only take one small action step, doesn't mean you should just throw in the towel! 
Every little tiny step towards your goals counts. Whether that's just getting in a short workout, going for a ten-minute walk at your lunch break, taking time to prepare your lunch the night before, or finally getting around to doing your corrective exercises. Literally ANY little step in the right direction counts!

So many people (me included!) feel like if they can't do it PROPERLY then it's not worth doing at all.

WRONG.

There’s no black and white, only shades of grey. Forget this all or nothing mentality and realize that even the little things still count.

Every single lifestyle change and goal accomplishment was created from HUNDREDS of little, insignificant actions done day in and day out. NOT from being perfect 100% of the time, because we all know that usually ends in frustration and failure.

What small action step can you make today that will move you one, tiny little millimeter closer to your goal? LMK in the comments! 💕
