Ok so this morning was a bit unexpected! I didn’t want to get out of bed...
Henry was loving the snuggles this morning BUT I needed to do this otherwise I’ll get shitty with myself later lol!

Amp-V helped my tiredness this morning 😂👌 This was BEFORE the bloody rain pelted down with an almighty rage for about 10 minutes! Then was as if nothing ever happened...
Working out with a sopping wet jumper on is almost the equivalent to wearing a very light weighted vest 🥵
Definitely turned things up a notch!

Getting back at it! Big shout out to people like @gabesvgains @xvxh @sirlanceawholelot for constantly having great content to check out and to stay motivated. Also a big shout out to @rbnfitness_ his training and meal plan has def helped me get back on track to living healthy again, I’ve cut down like close to 12lbs in a short time due to eating correctly and busting my ass. 👍🌱💪

It’s a tricky asana. Get it... trik o nasana 😂

In triangle pose we sometimes may forget to engage the side body closer to the sky. Causing us to fold into our front hip causing an impingement. Learn to take that impingement out by engaging your upper back, side bodies, and back hip. When I got certified in kettle bells over 10 years ago I was shown this pose and they called it a windmill (basically holding weights while going in and out of triangle). Funny how when I found yoga that I was already familiar with this pose. Yoga is everywhere and for everybody.

x Had abit of a leg day workout last night. Had only 20 mins due to other commitments but made it work and made it burn 🔥. Workout: • 3 x 60 second wall hold (60 sec rest in between each one) • 2 sets of 15 reps Kettlebell deadlifts (60 sec rest between each set) • 2 x 10 reps Sandbag Snatch (20kg) (60 sec rest between each set) 
Whether it’s 1 hour or 10 mins, make it work, get your heart rate up, make it fun and make it burn cause it’ll be totally worth it 👌🏽 x

Want to windmill? .
.
-feet go hip width apart or slightly more than hip width
-turn toes out 45° off to the side (away from the side you’re working on)
-pop your hip out (I’ve heard like Elvis, like Elle Woods, or just be sassy..whichever image works for you, go with that)
-push back into your hip on your working side (the one with the KB)
-rotate your shoulders so they stay in line...go down as far as you can control and are comfortable with (it’ll get better the more you work on it).

Try it unloaded at first, with a stick/pvc pipe/broom across your shoulders so you can feel your shoulders stay in line as you rotate. 💋

Want to windmill? . . -feet go hip width apart or slightly more than hip width -turn toes out 45° off to the side (away from the side you’re working on) -pop your hip out (I’ve heard like Elvis, like Elle Woods, or just be sassy..whichever image works for you, go with that) -push back into your hip on your working side (the one with the KB) -rotate your shoulders so they stay in line...go down as far as you can control and are comfortable with (it’ll get better the more you work on it). . . Try it unloaded at first, with a stick/pvc pipe/broom across your shoulders so you can feel your shoulders stay in line as you rotate. - 20 minutes ago

💪🏽Do you do arm exercises?💪🏽 💥
I don't often do arm focused exercises (bicep curls, triceps extensions etc) not because they don't have a practical or functional use, but simply because I enjoy the practice of full body tension and traditional strength training involves compound exercises. 💪🏽
My go to routine for shoulders, bis/tris, forearms and core is the pull-up. Not perfect but they are getting better 😋The first video is the most recent, the last is the oldest. You can see the difference in active range of motion and flexibility in my shoulders, which I think is pretty neat 🤓

It is important to maintain your structure (@johnbinfordfitness 😂) throughout the movement, and the ability to pivot the feet is vital. I also added a punch-through 🥊 that requires shoulder strength AND stability

I used the @onnit 🐵🐵 bells that = 36lbs EACH. I recommend using lighter weights while learning the movement and then progressing as needed 👍🏼

Today’s workout was kettle flow in #studiotoneitup, cause I felt like a little bit of #kettlebell and love @katrinaascott’s workouts. Her post today about trying to juggle everything and being “messy” is great. Should you focus on your strengths or weaknesses?

I'll start with the easy answer.

If you're part of a team you should focus on your strengths.

Teams are about balancing people so all the bases are covered.

If someone can cover for your weak spots, move on. There no use spending a ton of energy developing a skill that won't be useful.

Your power is in your strengths, double down on them and refuse to apologize for your weaknesses.

Don't let anyone tell you you're no good just because you weren't born a certain way. ---

How do you even know what a weakness is?

Many people like to label stuff they've never tried as a weakness.

I mean, sure. You're technically right.

But if you've never tried something, you could probably get much better in no time at all.

You can only determine that something is a weakness when you've explore that area deep enough.

It's such a complex question to answer because so much depends on your individual situation.

You need an accurate analysis of yourself and self-analysis is hard.

Usually other people can give you an objective view of yourself, but that is a whole other minefield to navigate.

If you're up for the challenge, ask your friends what they think you're good at vs not good at.

Though, it is important for you be in the right emotional space to really listen, because hearing an evaluation of yourself is straight up painful.

But their answers might surprise you.

And now you have one more piece of the puzzle that is life.
