This morning we had Pastor Duane Sheriff here at the Grace and Faith conference he spoke on "God's amazing Grace"
Here are some of the notes from this blessed message… "If you don't let God define you in Christ you will let the world define you by their standards which is not the right standards of living.
We got to understand God's amazing Grace, God's grace is in Jesus, He is forever abounding us in truth. Faith is us yielding to this person who is pursuing us for good which is Jesus. Faith is action.
Jesus is very much alive and well, how about us? We are to engage in His amazing Grace. God is so faithful. Let's not lose the amazing in amazing grace. When we come together we can make that difference through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Grace and Faith works together.
Seek God - faith is focused in God, faith seeks God, faith sees God, faith hears God. Grace is a person not theology. There is a theology to grace but don't separate grace from the person of Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy: 2 vs 1. Grace is in Jesus. When you embrace grace you embrace Jesus and when you embrace grace you cannot embrace and celebrate evil and darkness.
Hebrews: 11 vs 6. We have to diligently seek Him not doctrine. Faith believes God is. Faith believes He is the great I Am. Faith believes He is who He is. Romans: 8 vs 28. Our God is a God of life not death, this is why we know abortion is wrong as it brings death which is not of God. Matthew: 11 vs 28-30.
Jesus did not say come unto doctrine, come unto teachings, come unto church He said come unto me. Don't be yoked up to the law, be yoked up to Jesus. Stay close to Him, know your identity in Him. Learn of Him and find rest in your soul. John: 5 vs 39-40. John: 1 vs 14. We got to mix our faith with the word of God. Grace and Faith is a relationship with Jesus. Hebrews: 4 vs 16.
Seeing - what you see and how important it is? Revelation of God does change how we see and what we see and this is how faith works and how grace abounds. Part of the renewal of your mind is how you see things. Jeremiah: 1 vs 1-19. God is faithful to perform His word and we are to have it in our heart. Genesis: 15 vs 1-21. - 0 seconds
