What Makes The Perfect Album?
When I review an Album (critically), I’m always looking for:
#1 : Production Quality
#2 : Consistency
#3 : An Interesting Concept
#4 : Storytelling
#5 : Versatility
#6 : The Correct Number of Tracks
All of these things combine to make the perfect album. Now, you might ask, what is the perfect album?
According to all these things I’ve brought together, I’ve come to the conclusion that these are the most perfect hip hop albums of all time (in tiers)
Tier 1: To Pimp a Butterfly
Tier 2: MBDTF, Illmatic, Aquemini, Madvillainy
Tier 3: Food and Liquor, Be!, Black on Both Sides, Talib Kweli and Mos Def are Black Star, Good Kid, m.A.a.D City, The Blueprint, Below the Heavens, IDLSIDGO, Undun, The Low End Theory, We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service, Late Registration, Reasonable Doubt, 4eva is a Mighty Long Time, Marshall Mathers LP, Tetsuo and Youth, ATLiens
Hope you guys enjoy this. Tell me some albums you think should be added because I’m 100% sure I’m missing some.
