**Bitter realities of daily life **
Last day, I was down with fever and was too sick to prepare dinner, we were not in a mood to order outside food too. So I decided to make something simple.
I remember a while back @shabosphere had posted Shakshuka recipe, I spent a good 10 mins scrolling through her profile to finally find the post. Recipe was simple, and to make it more simple I did not have a few ingredients with me you must be wondering what's bitter in this right? Well, the bitter reality is that I visualised making that picture perfect Shakshuka like the ones we see on YouTube channels and Instagram - or like the one my fav blogger @shabosphere had posted. But unfortunately, all the yolks except one broke and my Shakshuka ended up looking more like an omelette 🤷 but trust me it tasted really good with our fav @kawanfoodmiddleeast frozen parathas.
Recipe is simple: *this recipe is with the ingredients I prepared, you can check out the original recipe from @shabosphere * Splutter cumin seeds
Saute 1 finely chopped onion adding in little salt *adding salt with onion helps it cook faster*
Add in onion and capsicum - both finely chopped and saute
Add in Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, corriander powder and cumin powder
Saute in low flame, add in little water if required and cover and cook it till raw smell disappears
Break in 2-3 eggs making space in between the masala and add in corriander leaves, salt and pepper powder.
Btw do you guys face similar bitter realities too? Or is it just me !!? 🥴 - 10 hours ago
