#tbt to the time when my CANDIDA was at its worst. You can literally see it all over my face!
This was 2014 when I lived in Switzerland and went to Paris for the weekend with my best friend.
When I lived in Europe, I ate ALL THE THINGS. Bread, cheese, chocolate, pastries and drank wine and beer on almost a daily basis. I was eating all the things that were feeding my candida, and had NO IDEA.
Immediately after this trip (aka too much fun in Paris), I got really sick. Like REALLY sick. It was one of the worst colds/sinus infections I've ever had, and it lasted months. I couldn't get rid of it, no matter how much medication I took, no matter how much I inhaled eucalyptus tablets, no matter how much I took my puffers.
At the time, I was also getting recurring yeast infections, always once a month before my period, sometimes even twice a month. My Yoni was sensitive and even sex gave me a YI sometimes. It started taking over my life.
I had THE WORST cystic acne at 32 years old. It was so bad that not even make-up could hide it. It made me so self-conscious that I didnt even want to go out in public.
Then my partner said to me, have you ever considered that what you're eating is causing this? I mean, I ate healthy most of the time (so I thought), with the odd treat here and there.
But when I FINALLY found out what candida was, I realized holey shit, he is right. And it's also important to note, that my doctor didnt tell me this, despite the MANY visits to his office to treat my YI's. I found out for myself.
That's when I realized YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. I did the candida cleanse/diet and it WORKED. It's what's inspired me to become a nutritionist and do the work that I do.
If any of this resonates with you, and you feel like you may have candida, send me a DM.
I work 1:1 with women to help eliminate candida and recurring vaginal infections through nutrition and wellness. I provide the tools to make this an easy and realistic process for you to start feeling "normal" again.
I've been there, done the work and know how it feels to come out on the other side, feeling happy and healthy, with a happy and healthy Yoni!
Much love and good yoni vibes!
