I just can’t get over how many different flowers are blooming right now. 🥰🌸🌼🌻🌹🌺 This one is a moonflower (Ipomoea alba), or moon vine. It is a species of night-blooming morning glory, native to tropical and subtropical regions.
The flowers are large, white or pink, and fragrant. They open in the evening and last through the night until the morning sun hits them. “On overcast days, the blossoms may remain open for longer. The flowers also tend to remain open longer during cool temperatures - which may also cause the segments to snag or tear as they open.”
They are perennial vines in sub-tropical areas, but gardeners with cold winters can successfully grow moonflower plants as annuals. Moon flowers can be grown in full sun as well as part-sun. 😉 - 1 hour ago
