Not feeling great today, painfully upset tummy and side hurts .. surgery can not be soon enough ( gall bladder) . I'm stubbornly at work but feeling awful. Is getting in the best shape of your life something you think about or something you are going to do? .

Guys if you are in the trenches and getting that work done consistently, i commend you for and keep pushing those limits. .

For those guys that are thinking about it, let me ask you this serious question. .

Where has thinking about it got you? .

Be brutally honest. It hasnt gotten you anywhere closer to where you want to be. .

If you are sitting on the couch, looking at what others are doing, you are not going to achieve anything. .

It's time to take massive ACTION no matter how small your steps. .

Focus on what you can do. .

Get up and walk a mile. .

Drink more water. .

Do some push ups, squats, lunges, planks, sit ups at home. .

Join the gym. .

Invest in a training program. .

Do something. .

If you are serious and want to GET THE EDGE, you got to make the necessary changes. .

Not necessarily your fitness goals, although those are important too... but I mean the goals you have in all areas of your life.

It's hard to hit a target you don't aim for... and similarly, you can't live an amazing life if you don't first determine what that means for you.

What are the things you want to achieve this week? This month? This year? In 10 years?

Sadly, most people usually don't know the answer to all, or even one of these questions.

These same people often play victim to their circumstances, and think life happens to them instead of for them.

That's ok, I'm not trying to change their minds... I'll often lose that battle.

No, this is for the person still reading this... you, the person who wants more out of life.

So is it just me or does anyone else feel like regardless of how often they clean their bathroom mirror it's still always dirty?

Anywho let's talk about these baby ab gains 😁 ya girls hype af. I know y'all hear it all the time, abs are made in the kitchen. Eating cleaner is definitely a major factor in abdominal development.
. 
However there's more to it than just eating lean meats & veggies. A strong core has more to offer than a sexy aesthetic. Strengthening your core will improve balance, posture, & lessen back pains.
.
When it comes to core training though most people tend to focus on the same few exercises. There's not necessarily anything wrong with that but there are a few things that can maximize your efforts as well as improve your results.
.
1. Practice the bracing technique during resistance training.
If you're unsure how to do this consider the bodies innate reaction to tense the abdomen as if someone were about to strike you in the gut.
2. Incorporate unstable surfaces
Balance training via a bosu ball, TRX, or simply an unleveled surface such as sand will naturally force you to activate the core muscles & keep them engaged in order to maintain stability.
3. Get comfortable being uncomfortable
Sit ups are great but you'll probably have to do a billion before they even start to matter. Also your body adapts quickly to the same stressors. So keep things interesting & switch it up. Not just moves but throw in some static holds, increase or decrease reps. Have fun with it😉 #abcheck

These comments USE to bother me. These comments would come from family, close friends and co-workers almost every single time I was out with them. It was like I had to feel bad for the decisions I was making to reach my goals or my choice to be healthy.

Now, those comments don’t bother me one bit. And I mean NOT ONE BIT.

Because I’ve realized that my decisions are for ME and that’s all that matters.

Those comments are  coming from those who almost 100% of the time have ZERO knowledge of a healthy lifestyle. So why would their opinion bother me? Their opinion means absolutely nothing in achieving my fitness goals.

I know that they think that my decisions make me miserable. When in fact, it’s the complete opposite. My decisions that push me towards my fitness goals make me HAPPIER, I feel BETTER, I become HEALTHIER and that’s worth every single comment that comes my way.

I did my first ever hike this weekend! (Well, actually 2 in 2 days!!) And it was absolutely amazing. 
First hike was Cape Lookout Trail in Tillamook, OR and the second was Tom, Dick & Harry, locates 7 miles from Mount Hood. Both were great! The first hike had amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and the second had this absolutely stunning view of Mount Hood. •
This weekend was filled with a lot of firsts! - first time in Oregon
- first friends to come visit @danisedavis & @derrick_dlouhy !!
- first hike & second hike!!
- first waterfall
- first workout at @nike HQ! That was awesome!
- first DB snatch @ 50lbs! 😜 - first time traveling to a new state with my husband
I know I’m forgetting a lot but to put it simply, this last weekend was amazing. Oregon will always have a little piece of my heart. ••
But!!!!!
It’s Monday folks!! It is time to get back on that grind!!! Yes, I enjoyed myself! I ate ALL the food, all the ice cream and beers! But it’s time now to - grocery shop
&
- food prep
These two things are what’s going to help me get right back on track and back on that healthy routine!

🔥 Perspective 🎯
I was standing in a line to meet @andyfrisella at #summersmash2019 and found myself wondering, what in the world do I want to say to him...
.
You know what, I honestly just wanted to thank him for bringing 1stPhorm to fruition with his business partner and brother @mrfrisella .
What I realized after having said that and his confirmation later that weekend is that he, Andy, is more thankful for the Phamily than he feels we should be thankful of him.
.
And I get that! 
Without an army, how can you change the world?
.
So what I realized is that I honestly didn't have anything to say to someone I listen to weekly through his podcast #mfceo .
What I really wanted was his knowledge, business experience and grit.
 So...
Today, I am on that mission and I have been thinking about this for a friggin minute (1 month to be honest)

Today I am starting #75hard to develop myself into a warrior that when trained can harness my own greatness to become a better soldier for change in this world🔥

This is old news but I’m trying to paint a picture so bare with me. .

.@jenna_fail was #mytransphormationstartstoday coach. Her content was so spot on that I rarely had to reach out but shifting gears to competition had me scared. .
.
You don’t need #motivation, you need a dream. Mine scared the shit out of me (it was that big) so naturally - to keep me from being able to back out - I went public AF about it. A few weeks in I reached out to her, in tears one Saturday. .
.
.
I did not ask for a thing. I simply thanked her. I thanked her for #believing in me although she had never shook my hand. Belief is a hell of a drug. Y’all- it just takes believing that you can have anything YOU ARE WILLING TO WORK FOR. .
.
I love her. I love her desire to see people become all they #dream then usher them a bit further. .
.
.
She showed me that I was always able, I just didn’t see it at the time. We all have voices within us, that inner dialogue feeding our next steps. She just reminded me which voice was important to listen to. .

I’ll always be thankful for the, “Yea, you can!” .

Walking lunges, 10 kettle bell snatch each arm,12 step-ups each leg 4 rounds
Down and up stairs 25 lbs each arm then 25 curls 4 rounds. 
Unfortunately the kettle bell was only 25 lbs. Who goes to a gym to steal a kettle bell?? Kept the farmers walk on the stairs at 25lbs still feeling out this vest.

🙋🏻‍♀️Okay so I went way out of my comfort zone and went to summer smash.  May not seem like a big deal to some but it was huge for me.  Because of my wonderful husband holding down the fort my dad got to come with me.
.
There are no words for what I experienced.  Hands down the best part was meeting some fantastic and wonderful people.  Some I have connected with via IG and it was so great to finally hug and spend time with them.  Some were new friends I made along the way.  No matter what it was a weekend I won’t forget.

To say I’m proud would be an understatement. It’s often hard with her ADD and ADHD to get her to focus and concentrate, especially when her medication has worn off for the day, but when you find that activity she likes, she shines brighter than the sun.

This has been a difficult start for her too. She moved to the 9-10 division which is now 50 meters instead of 25 which means she has to turn and the end of the pool. ❤️

I see it and hear it so many times. "I dont have time for that". "Its too expensive". "I dont need it". But still, you aren't solving any problems with how you regularly spend your time and money, and then complain when you're in the same situation you were before.

Since I've started investing in myself rather than material crap I "needed", I've been far better off, and improving each and every day.

I've cut down on TV dramatically, started reading and studying more.

I've improved my diet and the shape I'm in, and I feel better and perform better than I ever have.

I view life differently than I have in the past, and I look forward to challenges in face each and every day instead of looking for ways to avoid what's coming my way.

It's all in how you prioritize what's actually  important in life, now what you think and feel is important at the moment. 
Once you do that, you're going to be much better off.

Start changing your mindset today. It takes practice and consistency.

It's going to be hard.

It's going to be a challenge.

But it's also going to be worth it.

I guarantee it.

Y’all know I hate running, so that’s what I did this morning. Why would I do that to myself ? Well because... when we do the hard shit... we gain the confidence of knowing we can handle the hard shit in life. ⁣

The only thing that kept me running faster that last mile was knowing I could have breakfast as soon as I was home bc I was fucking hungry. ⁣

Since I had 2 decent workouts this morning, I fueled my plate with healthy carbs, almond butter for a little fat, 11 servings of veggies in my cup and 24 grams of lean level 1 protein in my coffee. ⁣

Perfect start to the week, feeling accomplished, healthy and energized 😬🥳⁣

Side notes when running on farm roads... 1. Dairy farms smell a lot better than chicken farms 🤢 2. During my 3 mile run, I had to stop to pee twice (that’s the kind of water intake level you want to be on), and tall crops make for good potty spots 😎 ⁣

Had an unbelievable time this weekend at #summersmash2019 
It was very refreshing being around so many likeminded individuals from various walks of life celebrating a lifestyle and a mindset that we have all chosen to live.
I’m headed back home to the “real world” today but I definitely have a renewed perspective on my own life.
-I CAN DO BETTER!
-I can be a better example of my faith
-I can be a better husband
-I can be a better dad
-I can be a better son
-I can be a better grandson
-I can be a better employee
-I need to improve my eating habits
-I need to train even harder

Soooo I did a thing this weekend-
I finally said goodbye to my 2007 Scion TC, and upgraded to a 2017 Mazda6 Touring. I’ve been searching and waiting to purchase a car for over a year. Thanks to the National Guard and Sprint, I was finally able to make this happen. Soooo I did a thing this weekend- I finally said goodbye to my 2007 Scion TC, and upgraded to a 2017 Mazda6 Touring. I’ve been searching and waiting to purchase a car for over a year. Thanks to the National Guard and Sprint, I was finally able to make this happen. Sure, must of us lift to get bigger, but are you functional? Your fitness routine should be focused on resistance training because when it comes down to it, it’s the best way to reach most goals when performed correctly. .
.
That said, there should be a balance of strength, stability, hypertrophy, power, conditioning, flexibility, and recovery. If you can balance these disciplines you are training like and athlete. Don’t get too focused on a narrow goal. Keep your training functional and allow for adequate recovery. .
.
Longevity is key 🔑 .

Good afternoon social media.

Today was Shoulder death by dumbbells.
.
I decided to focus on my rear and side delts today. I believe they are lacking compared to my front.
.
Not pictured are wide upward rows, alternating lat raises w/palm down, and cable face pulls.
.
Sometimes when you can't get a muscle to grow, you need to change things up and add some volume to your routine.  I normally do alot of heavy presses so I decided to switch it up.
.
If anyone has had trouble building your shoulders in the past but were successful, I would love to hear what worked for you.
.

Why am I so damn excited? Well I'm always excited, but Mondays shouldn't be viewed as such a bad day when it's the start of the week and the start of something new.

You shouldn't live your life for the weekends... Constantly being mad about Monday coming, which is the absolute inevitable, you should embrace Monday and give it a new meaning.

We all want our hobbies to be our jobs, but unless you can figure out how to do that and have a sustainable income, then you'll never be happy with your life.

It's all about waking up, doing your routine/ritual, and feel confident in yourself when you step out the door. That confidence comes in many different way. It could be happiness, a sense of pride you committed to it, or simply feeling sexy as fuck about yourself. Whatever feeling is invoked when you accomplish the seemingly daunting task of doing something that makes you feel good is a good one! A feeling that should be cherished not destroyed. A feeling you should hold on to when faced with those situations or people in your life wanting to rip them away! DO NOT LET THEM!

Without a doubt we all have areas of improvement that are evaluated from outside means like work evaluations, peer assessments, etc. These are a standard set by the enviorment in which has their own set of standards of success. IT IS BUSINESS! It is not personal! I say it again. It is NOT personal. The professional evaluations you might be taking to heart and applying it to your personal life vice your professional life is more common than you think. If this applies to you, you are not alone. 
What I will say is there should be ever effort made to combat the urge to bring the feelings from a less than favorable professional evaluation home. That applies to the workplace only! Just because we aren't at par with an expectation there doesn't mean you aren't the kind, caring, sexy, beautiful, fit, or driven person you believe yourself to be. Please I implore you to remember how you started the day in the beginning of this post, strive for improvement, and do your absolute best! Can we do that? Drop that comment below saying this, "I will end my day just as I started it. Confident as fuck."
