[< Spill it out >]
It may have been yesterday,
It may be today, or even tomorrow.
But when it comes,
I’m going to ask that you do one thing:
SPILL. IT. OUT.
I tell my clients:
“Let’s dump your purse out on the table.
We’ll examine each piece.
Then, I don’t care what you put back in, as long as you intentionally choose it.” Obviously, your purse is a metaphor.
Everything in my life is a metaphor.
That’s just how my brain works 🤷🏼♀️
Pretty cool, right?
How often do we feel bogged down or overwhelmed and someone (or even ourselves) reminds us to just push through?!
Tomorrow will be better.
Just take action.
Make one sale.
Dance it out.
Talk to someone.
Rarely so we give ourselves permission to just be.
To dump our proverbial purses out on the table,
And examine what’s been weighing us down.
I think most people don’t do this for 2 reasons:
1. They believe they can’t possibly add anything else.
2. They’re afraid of what they’ll find.
They’re afraid of giving in or letting go.
To the business, the person, the opportunity, the story, the belief.
Because WHO would we be without it?
Sometimes it can be freeing.
Other times, it can jeopardize the only thing we feel we know or have control over: Ourselves.
Yes, releasing and letting go can be challenging.
It requires a lot of courage.
It requires a LOT of trust.
It requires a belief that you deserve more and better.
Because you do.
So, dump it out sistah.
Create some space for examination.
Not always all at once, let it be a process.
If you don’t know where to start, I can help.
