How to Push Through a Workout During an Emotional Turmoil🤯
🛑 Stop pushing yourself like you’re a soulless machine.
Because you’re not.
You’re a human with a voice, story and vision like no other.
I get it.
You made a commitment that you’re gonna stay consistent no matter how.
And you want to honor your word.
But consistency doesn’t mean giving in to the voice of judgment that demands:
‘I SHOULD be working out because I said I WOULD today’
...Even when all you want to do is just breathe, be quiet, cry, and process everything that has happened.
What your body is truly begging from you is not another soul-crushing workout, but a space to LISTEN IN and release suppressed emotions.
You have NOTHING to prove because you’re already worthy for the reason that you exist.
If you’re feeling defeated, beat up and emotionally drained because you‘re frustrated with your ability to stay consistent, know that I see and hear you.
Because I’ve struggled with valuing & trusting myself, and I believed there’s something wrong with my lack of willpower
...until I realize that the Shoulds & Should Nots make up a story that isn’t mine, but one that I’ve borrowed from society in order to feel like I’m part of something big & important.
In a world which values your doing – rather than your being – I know how lonely that feels.
Especially if you’re an energetically sensitive human who has to survive a busy schedule, wearing the hat of:
...a busy career woman
...a grad student
...a entrepreneurial go-getter
No matter the hat (or hats) you choose to wear today, yesterday or tomorrow.... you‘re so, so supported in your journey, even if it doesn’t seem that way and nothing makes sense right now.
Take a break. Release the Shoulds and Woulds. Let your body rest. Love yourself. And then come back to the routine.
