“We want certain outcomes so that we can feel a certain way. We blame our insecurities, fears, and sadness outside of ourselves. We sedate ourselves with television, busyness, drama, food, drinks, and drugs instead of facing the truth.
And this is the truth:
Just as the trees will lose their leaves in the fall, just as the water will become stuck swirling in eddies, just as the sky will be masked over with ominous clouds, you, too, will find yourself vulnerable, stagnant, and in the middle of chaos.
In these times we must be patient. We must be compassionate. We must let the natural phenomenon of life play out in our hearts. We must not push or force the cycle, throwing off our natural rhythm, but learn to face and walk through the winter, the swirling water, and the storm with grace for ourselves, trust, and knowing of the other side of this truth.
Just as the leaves will reappear, first as sweet and delicate buds, then growing into their strong and structured full bodied states, just as the water will break free and flow without friction or care, just as the clouds will clear and the sun will come out, you, too, will find yourself blooming, and flow, and radiant once again.”
