Last night, my nutrition posse gathered again to toast the summer and celebrate! ☀️🎉Time speeds up, and our eyes are larger than our bellies. Somehow the potluck is perfectly balanced with more veggies than you would ever see at a regular back yard party.

Hottest day brought out the tiger spirit in me today.  while we are complaining about the extreme heatwave knowing we human are to blame for the extreme weather changes (climate). Anything we use in our daily life from consuming too much meat/dairy/processed food, the car we drive our children to school that takes 20 minutes to walk, factories, mills, logging, over use of palm oil, blowing up the earth/digging holes for oil, coal, diamond & gold, building skyscrapers, too much of plastic usages, plastic/fluffy toys, hair spray, room spray, plastic grass, coating shiny plastic on our nails have an effect on our climate.  Greenland is melting away fastest in recent years, floods, storms, bushfire incidents also have risen over the years & co2 emissions are rising & sea water is poisoned/sea animals are suffering?  We Humans are the most intellectual on the planet are the most greediest, thoughtless & careless species on the planet!  I was feeling lazy this afternoon like everyone in this heat but somehow my inner spirit just pulled me out of the door & to taste my body/mind strength I went for an hour steady run in the park without any complications successfully run 7 miles & it was the best & happiest medicine.  Body is kept hydrated all year round through plant based whole food & water so it was happy, fully charged & mind had a faith the size of a green pea which was a powerful, spiritual & wonderful feeling. Believe it or not – carbs are not the devil. Sugar is. .

The tricky part is differentiating the two. Processed white grains such as white bread, white rice and white pasta all turn into sugar very quickly in the body. Leading to blood sugar crashes and fat storage in the body. .

The fix? Cut the sugar but not the carbs. If you stick to the whole foods version of carbs such as whole grains (like brown rice or quinoa), fruits and vegetables you will experience less energy crashes and less fat storage. The fibers in these whole foods may actually help with weight loss instead. Just make sure you are drinking more water as well when you increase your fiber intake.

👉🏻Primero quitémosle la palabra excesos, porque sino te vuelves disco rayado cada fin🤣.
👉🏻A mi me gusta llamarlo fin de semana liberador 😎.
👉🏻Porque puede hacer todo, comer/tomar/divertirte sabiendo balancear.
👉🏻De lo maaaaas trillado jajajaja mi palabra BALANCE, pero es la verdad. 👉🏻A mi que me funciona, ahí te va y ANTES QUE NADA, recuerda que no estoy promoviendo tomar, más bien es mi forma de darte mi ejemplo y lo que a mi me funciona.

Tips:
1. Hacer ejercicio cuando se pueda, y sino camino y bailooooo mucho 💃🏼.
2. Hacer intercambios: los días que se que voy a tomar, quito el carbohidrato, moderó la grasa y como proteína y verduras ese día, para no pasarme en calorías😎 y ayudarle a mi metabolismo.
3. ¿Qué tomó?: Vino con Sprite Zero, Vino blanco, Champaña, Vodka con agua mineral y Limón, mojito con vodka sin jarabe, Ginebra con agua mineral y Limón o con frutos rojos pero sin jarabe y cargo con mis gotitas de Stevia para darle ese toque dulce ☺️.
4. Tomo mucha agua, de que una copita y una agüita 🤣. 5. Y si de plano, 👀 algo dulce me cierra el ojooooo PUES NIMODO, me lo como sin remordimientos.
6. 😴 dormir lo más que pueda.
7. Y mañana RETOMAMOS: claramente hay retención de líquidos, sensación de estar abotagada, etc, pero esa se va en la semana. •

👀¿Fin de semana de excesos? 💃🏼 • • 👉🏻Primero quitémosle la palabra excesos, porque sino te vuelves disco rayado cada fin🤣. 👉🏻A mi me gusta llamarlo fin de semana liberador 😎. 👉🏻Porque puede hacer todo, comer/tomar/divertirte sabiendo balancear. 👉🏻De lo maaaaas trillado jajajaja mi palabra BALANCE, pero es la verdad. 👉🏻A mi que me funciona, ahí te va y ANTES QUE NADA, recuerda que no estoy promoviendo tomar, más bien es mi forma de darte mi ejemplo y lo que a mi me funciona. • • Tips: 1. Hacer ejercicio cuando se pueda, y sino camino y bailooooo mucho 💃🏼. 2. Hacer intercambios: los días que se que voy a tomar, quito el carbohidrato, moderó la grasa y como proteína y verduras ese día, para no pasarme en calorías😎 y ayudarle a mi metabolismo. 3. ¿Qué tomó?: Vino con Sprite Zero, Vino blanco, Champaña, Vodka con agua mineral y Limón, mojito con vodka sin jarabe, Ginebra con agua mineral y Limón o con frutos rojos pero sin jarabe y cargo con mis gotitas de Stevia para darle ese toque dulce ☺️. 4. Tomo mucha agua, de que una copita y una agüita 🤣. 5. Y si de plano, 👀 algo dulce me cierra el ojooooo PUES NIMODO, me lo como sin remordimientos. 6. 😴 dormir lo más que pueda. 7. However, when grown and prepared properly grains can be part of a super healthy lifestyle. Always organic + sprouted and/or fermented for better nutrient absorption. Never enough jam! Trying out all the flavours. This batch is peach and nectarine 🍑. So easy to make. Fruit, chia, vanilla, cinnamon. The smell reminds me of those peaches and cream instant Quaker oat packets I ate as a kid. Tastes pretty good too! 😋

👉🏻Mis desayunos son como el famoso refrán 🤣la misma gata pero revolcada 🤣.
👉🏻Me baso en los mismos ingredientes, solo
voy haciendo variaciones.

Necesitas:
1/2 taza de claras.
1/3 taza de avena.
2/3 taza de agua.
Vainilla, canela, Stevia.
Topping:
Blueberries.
Crema de cacahuate.

Preparación:
1. Poner a hervir la avena, con el agua, la canilla, canela y Stevia.
2. Ya cuando esté a punto de reducirse toda el agua, echar la 1/2 taza de claras.
3. Mover, constantemente hasta que se cocine bien y quede como pudín.
4. Puedes echarle: cacao, matcha, cúrcuma, Jamaica en polvo etc y cambiar el sabor y color ☺️.
5. Servir y poner los toppings.

What are some reasons NOT to avoid beans?
Well, they’re an excellent source of fiber. Fiber helps reduce cholesterol and keeps you regular 😉.
The starch they contain is a prebiotic (meaning it feeds the good bacteria in your gut). Lots of protein. 
Good source of potassium. 
And there’s even studies showing that the phytates in beans may reduce cancer risk.
So we’re making a big pot of 3 bean chili for dinner!

Words friends use to describe me: original, brave, intense, quirky, witty, weird😂

How do I know this? I asked! When I was first starting my business, I asked friends to describe me in five words or less so that I could use that to help define me as a brand. It turned out to be a very illuminating exercise in self-awareness!⁠ I'll be the first to admit it, there's not a whole lot "normal" about me. But hey, variety is the spice of life, right?

Maybe that's partly due to my unconventional upbringing. I was (for all intents and purposes) raised completely isolated from pop-culture. My parents had some pretty radical ideas about how to raise kids (I'm told my childhood sounds a lot like Tara Westover's book Educated). If you knew me in college, it might have been simpler to describe me as a foreign exchange student, than say your average high school student.

Even though there's nothing "off-grid" about me now,  getting acquainted with the mainstream in adulthood means I get to show up in a unique way with unique tastes and a unique perspective on things (it also means I miss a lot of the 90s pop culture references my husband makes) 👉What are some of the things that make you "weird"?
