Kids and dogs. They can be the best of friends, or the worst of enemies. Not all dogs enjoy being around kids and part of it is often because kids don't understand how to respect a dogs boundaries. This is often an issue for us when we go out. Kids LOVE pacho, he's small, and fluffy and the perfect size to pick up. But does pacho want to be picked up? No. Do children ask me before trying to pick him up? No. This gives me so much anxiety when kids come running over.. Because often they get grabby with him and Pacho is very uncomfortable with it. The other day at the park, this young girl kept grabbing Pacho and trying to pick him up, I repeatedly asked her not to as he doesn't like that, and she wouldn't listen, eventually Pacho snapped at her (didn't bite but he taps people with his teeth lightly if they're bothering him, if growling doesn't work) thankfully the girl's father wasn't upset with pacho as he had heard me asking her to stop, but never said anything to her. If you have kids please. Teach. Them. To. Respect. Animals. Space. 👏 It will help everyone!
