May is mental health awareness month! I’ve been more intentional this month about listening to both my mind and my body. Giving them both what they need. I have a tendency to go, go, go in my job and in my personal life. And I’m trying to slow down (especially before summer makes it here). When my body is telling me to rest, I’m resting. When my body is telling me it’s hungry, I’m eating (and actually cooking real meals). I actually took a day off from work and didn’t plan an adventure with it! (Hard for me lol). Even though the day to day can be stressful, I’m feeling so much healthier practicing what I preach at work, and prioritizing self-care and self awareness.
