The problem with bro science is that it sends people off the scent. Dan has gone full bro here.
Concentrating on restrictive nutrition rules that make very minor improvements, if any, results in people thinking they “are doing all the right things “ but could have been concentrating on the more impactful things .
✍️ sugar isn’t the devil, numerous studies have shown when keeping calories, protein and fibre the same, a diet higher or lower in sugar showed no difference in weight loss or body composition.
Buuuut... lower sugar diets have shown to result in lower cholesterol and blood lipids .
Also.. sugar has low levels of satiety, so calories that don’t make you full, will increase the chance of you eating more .
Calories matter muuuuch more than sugars. So concentrate on calories. Don’t attempt to cut out sugar ...you will fail. Because ... we’ll.... cookies ✍️ 30-45 min anabolic window.... Numerous studies have shown the total amount of protein consumed was far more important when you consumed it, for body composition changes. It comes down to personal preference, if you like to eat something before exercise go for it , if you feel more comfortable waiting till after exercise, that’s fine too.
If dat loss is your goal .. its total calories and total expenditure that makes the difference!
