I cannot tell you the number of people I’ve spoken with who have dealt with Candida and my own personal experience with it for the last 8 years as well. Candida overgrowth if left untreated can cause so many problems. It is becoming increasingly common in children as well now. I personally feel if you or your child is experiencing reoccurring infections of any kind, poor digestive health or if you have gone through multiple rounds of antibiotics get checked for Candida overgrowth. For years, I used to skip meals and cut out carbs and fats, but that is not a lifestyle that you can maintain forever! I would end up binging for days after eating pizza because I felt like I had failed myself. Going on fad diets and cutting out the food you love will only make it harder to have long-term success and honestly, it makes healthy eating a lot less fun. It’s about moderation, not restriction. 😉 So we’re about to enjoy this pizza and maybe some ice cream, because it’s Saturday night! Time for the dog park and Stranger Things season 2! 🙌🏻 (and yes, that’s my dog hiding behind the plant 😂)

As an introvert, I need time alone to recharge. Lately I have been surrounded non stop with work, being there for my family, my friends, so much external stress and internal, with no where, no one and no time to release it... I have honestly felt paralyzed for weeks; unable to make any decisions, tired, anxious, and depleted. All the effects of being empty are showing and growing. I finally decided enough is enough. My insta is bound to become a dedication to all things babies 👶 But I’m trying to go easy on you all for the time being 😂 At least with the pictures 💁🏻‍♀️ We’ve finally returned home from the motel we were staying at and trying to get back to a new kind of normal routine, which is basically waking up and driving into the city each day and spending all day at the hospital with the little ones...it’s kind of exhausting. It’s been a really big week and there have been tears and a lot of worry but Olivia has finally joined Rosie in SCBU which is great (but I know they have a long road ahead and things can always change). They’re both nearing their birth weight again and they have been increasing their milk feeds; time to fatten the little boombas up. All of the doctors have said to me that they were an amazing weight for how early they were born so as much as I struggled through the entire pregnancy it’s nice to know that I got the nutrition side of things right. I’m glad I listened to my body when it was hungry, didn’t try to starve myself and researched the best foods to eat while pregnant. I didn’t restrict cheeses and meats and eggs, I did my research and made sure all nutrients were covered...as well as plenty of Nutella and hot chips 😅 This whole thing has just reaffirmed to me how important good nutrition is and that it’s not just about counting macros. On my post pregnancy weight loss journey I know there will come a time for tracking macros but for now I’ll continue to eat what I think is best for me and best for the babies, weight loss will come over time 😁

From someone who has recovered & experienced multiple eating disorders & thankfully come out the other side I know I never ever wanna feel trapped in that horrific food & diet hell again🙈

I remember calling two small celebration sweets my ‘cheat meal’ & instantly felt guilty so I instantly put on my running shoes to go & ‘burn them off’ •

It makes me so so sad to see that so many people in the media & fitness industry are spending their lives ‘burning foods off’ & feeling guilty about what they eat. I’d love nothing more to live in a world where no one judges someone for what or how much they eat, but atm I can’t 🙈
Would we tell a child for eating an Ice cream ‘right go and do half hour cardio and burn that shit off’ - 🤨we may be heading that way in the future... but I hope to god not. •

What you say, & how you think about food effects so much more than just the number on the scale. It effects your whole mind, your mind becomes filled with constant anxiety about what your going to eat next, do you need to feel guilty for eating it? And how much self loathing & disappointment you need to take with you the following day if your 1lb up on the scale.. •

I am by no means saying we shouldn’t focus on our physical health, but health as a whole effects our mental health too! Having a healthy relationship with food is the most freeing thing in the world, I felt trapped. Isolated & alone when I was in the thick of my eating disorder. I felt control yes. But it didn’t make me happy, I felt paranoid. Irritated. & tired. From constant thought about food & the scales. •

And now I see food as neutral. Some foods make me feel better than others, some may taste better in the moment yes. But may not leave me feeling energised later on.. food is just food.

You DONT have to settle, read that again....let it sink in because I think we all need to hear this from time to time. I used to feel as if I was so disconnected from everyone else for wanting a better life, for wanting to actually take care of my body and fuel it with healthy foods, for wanting to live a healthy lifestyle instead of going out to drink alcohol or make poor decisions

It just wasn’t for me, I knew my body deserved the best and I wanted to FEEL good which is always my #1 motivator and goal in life....if you don’t feel good you aren’t going to be happy and thriving everyday. You aren’t going to be making good choices and it’s not going to lead you down the path towards achieving your goals and passions in this life

For me this looked like prioritizing my mental health by surrounding myself with friends who lifted me up and actually inspired me to achieve bigger goals, it looked like fueling my body with as much nourishment as possible, it looked like devoting time to expand my spiritual practice and dive deep into the world of self development and making time to do things that made me happy everyday...there is nothing selfish about wanting to live a better life, there is nothing selfish about wanting what’s best for you even though it may seem like your being judged at that moment in time...it’s not a reflection of your actions but instead a reflection of those around you too uncomfortable with change and growth 👏🏻

You have to become confident in the lifestyle you want to live and know in your heart that nothing can stop you if you truly go after what you want, don’t hold on to stories of what people think of you, don’t hold on to other people’s baggage, don’t let your past define who you are today as a person, you have to decide that everyday, who you want to be and how you want to impact this world

For me this looked like prioritizing my mental health by surrounding myself with friends who lifted me up and actually inspired me to achieve bigger goals, it looked like fueling my body with as much nourishment as possible, it looked like devoting time to expand my spiritual practice and dive deep into the world of self development and making time to do things that made me happy everyday...there is nothing selfish about wanting to live a better life, there is nothing selfish about wanting what’s best for you even though it may seem like your being judged at that moment in time...it’s not a reflection of your actions but instead a reflection of those around you too uncomfortable with change and growth 👏🏻 . You have to become confident in the lifestyle you want to live and know in your heart that nothing can stop you if you truly go after what you want, don’t hold on to stories of what people think of you, don’t hold on to other people’s baggage, don’t let your past define who you are today as a person, you have to decide that everyday, who you want to be and how you want to impact this world . I choose everyday to live my best life because I want to feel good, I want to inspire others to feel good and go after what they want in this life and that’s ok if others don’t understand or judge me for it, I’m not doing it for them 🙏🏻👏🏻I’m doing it for me, I’m trusting and being led down the path I’m meant to❤️ - 3 hours ago

A symbol held high in many cultures, mythology and astrology, it is symbolic of self reliance and a unique spirit that is passionate and untamable🦂
So last weekend I did a thing and am now officially a qualified level 1 animal flow instructor🐾Been flowing through the past week feeling blessed beyond bounds by the amount of support I received, the good luck messages, the congratulations, but above all the amount of incredible humans in my life who absolutely totally believe in me whether or not I do myself, near, far, short term, long term, who play a big or small part I swear I have never felt so grateful and had such a full heart💞
I took a chance, said yes, gave life a go and went with the flow like the old me I used to know, putting myself way out of my comfort zone in so many more ways than one and it paid off beyond measure👌🏼
As self reliant as I am when I needed it I had so much more back up than I could have ever dreamed of and grateful beyond words to have a growing tribe who match my vibe🙏🏼🐾
