How do you define your quality of life?
For me it's: getting the best quality food, being surrounded by ocean and mountains, being able to cycle outside annually in temperatures above 0 degrees, being surrounded by like-minded people.
Back in my hometown, I had pretty much none of that. And that wreaked havoc on my overall stress therefore affecting my mood, my performance, my sleep and ability to recover. It's been almost a year since I moved to Vancouver now and I couldn't be more pleased! I have checked off all of my better quality of life boxes. Many of us wait until the most opportune time to do this, but what I've learned is that there is NEVER going to be a perfect time to make a big change in your life. You really do only live once and we should all make the best of it... NOW! - 1 hour ago
