After all the experiments with food for the last year, coming back to my previously installed habits since 2014. Have tried intermittent fasting, keto diet, vegetarian and came to the one conclusion: what used to work, doesn’t need to be changed. However, there were some adjustments:
more vegetables added daily
no fear of losing the abs because of lack of protein 😬
dairy removed since August, only on the rare occasions cheese passes by (before milk, cottage cheese, whey protein daily) Anyway never liked it🤪
The result - a lot of energy, reduced inflammation, faster recovery, feeling vital and healthy
We always need to find what works for us consistently well and keep doing it with minimal adjustments. Balance is always harder than control.
Nowadays 3 meals a day look pretty similar:
breakfast: porridge with vegan protein and coconut milk, plus added fruit/nuts/dried fruit for variety lunch: animal protein + starchy carbs(rice, potatoes, buckwheat, pasta) + veggies dinner: big bowl of greens with fruit and other veggies (depends what is in the fridge).
And that’s it. Staying at the same weight since 2015 - 62kg, +-1kg when eat something away from plan, or decide to become vegetarian 🤣 Fundamentals never change. - 4 hours ago
