Where should you stay while visiting Zion National Park? If you want to redeem points on a stay, multiple hotel chains have hotels in Springdale, the town next to the park entrance. If you’d like a more luxurious stay at a hotel that is closest to the park entrance, check out the Cable Mountain Lodge!
This hotel is privately owned, so although you won’t be able to redeem hotel points for a stay there, you can certainly accumulate points by charging the stay on your points-linked or cash-back credit card.
This hotel is newly renovated and very clean, the hotel staff is moderately friendly and helpful, and big perks for staying here include getting a prime parking spot next to the national park entrance and a discount card that will give you 20% off of food and gear rentals at stores on the property.
We stayed in the Mountain View Suite, which had a nice shower, large tub, king bed, kitchenette, fireplace, and a nice view of the mountains.
Cell reception is terrible anywhere in Zion, but the hotel provides complimentary WiFi. One thing to note is that this hotel does not supply robes or slippers in the room, an amenity that we value greatly at PointsProfessional. (You can always tell the quality of a hotel by the quality of its hotel slippers!) All-in-all, it was an enjoyable stay, and we consider it to be #pointsproapproved
