"The Devil of a Time". -Lyrics by Joe Noel. "I keep on going and I'm coming back in. The way of the gun and the bringer of the sin. The truth becomes the light where I once was, where the demons are a knocking and the angels up above.
I stand up upon these worn & weary old feet, the transformation from below is now nearly complete. I walk with a purpose and a thrill to kill, some good moonshine until I have my fill.
I sit down to think as they pour me a shot, the devil has no enemies in a friendly old spot. Why should I deny my good old friend, when the jack is black & I'm covered in sin.
I spy with my eye a mean old biker man; we became friends as the night wants to end. We drank and drank and laughed and laughed until bad was good and good was bad.
That old boy could sure put 'em down, like an old king now just wearing his crown. As the night drew on and we stumbled to our feet, his eyes started to glisten as he rose to his feet.
He said, "Listen here son, I've seen a lot of things. Some old and boring and some to be unseen". He kept going on about life and free will; I wasn't sure what to say, but I had time to kill.
He said, "I am the old and the immortal one, who lives in the dark and hides from the sun. I wear my crown in the kingdom below, where the bad are born to run and the unholy ones go". As I heard this I cracked a grin, as I thought to myself how evil have I been. He spoke with authority of a demon known to me; he knew my life and the hell I've been in.
As time rose on to two hands tall, I thought to myself as I stood against the wall. This old boy is as crazy as can be, but what if he can see what I turn out to be?
The old biker man walked toward the door, his eyes of red and blazing like a fire. He told me to think about what I hold dear, think about it twice, then look in the mirror.
He spoke of things I never knew he knew. He spoke in "tongues" as the room ensued with brimstone in the air and I did not know what to do.
His final grin was caught by my glancing wornout eyes, he said, "Why should the devil deny such a damn good time"? He mounted his bike with the black and the chrome and the flames did follow as he headed to his home". - 17 hours ago
